Although I'm guessing you mean when the asshole likes to spit out a flare point blank in your face WHILE you try and rush him down, that can be annoying.
That is the one. It is his ground one that is more annoying as that one follows you for a little time unlike his blue air one where it follows for a moment then stops. meaning if you rush him and then dodge the attack, you still can't hit him as a melee character due to a giant orange ball of flame chasing you. Doesn't last long, but in that time he's thrown down some mines or run away.
Yea if I dodge it I just try my hardest to instantly deflect it with my characters HP attack (each character has an attack to deflect his flare). Or I air dash the fuck away to recover my footing and deflect that flare right back at him thus applying some pressure on him, it's especially fun in an Emporer Vs Emporer match. The benefits of that deflected flare are AWESOME seeing as it will hit for as much as THEIR brave.

Chaos is a *****, but in my eyes he's still a decently challenging boss compared to other fighting games. Divine Judgement (the one you mentioned) is a pain and I do hate it when he spams it. It's a finicky attack alright but it should easy with Zidane seeing as he excels in the air. I've fucked up on that attack several times with Golbez because of his minor drifting when he stops, but thankfully I learned to just immediately cast Gravity force the second he casts that attack so I end up teleporting and giving him a face full of dark energy.

Although level 130-150 Chaos is still the biggest whore in the game...and his stupid ass Shinryuu summon. So many nightmarish attempts to beat him and so many failures because he pretty much 1 hit KOs you. But that's super bosses in survival mode for ya, I'm kinda hoping they raise the CPU opponent level cap to 200 just for shits and let us fight CPUs that high in quick battle instead of being confined to Duel Colosseum.

As long as it's for PSP again, I'll probably pick it up once the price goes down. The original was far from the best game I've ever played, but compared to most other PSP games it was quite good and had one of the most unique concepts for a fighting game I've ever seen. If Auron or any Tactics characters end up in it, I'll pretty much be guaranteed to get it.

Edit: Any chance we could get an actual plot now, instead of the power of friendship garbage spewn about in the last Dissidia?

Ok.
Now yet ANOTHER reason to get a PsP.
Aside from Lunar:Silver Star Harmony and Bleach:Heat of the Soul 6/7.

If Kain's going in, it's possible they're adding in "neutral" characters for each generation. That is, Kain was both a hero and a villain - Auron would also make good material for this, as would Seifer... trying to think of a good FFVII example... Yuffie attacks you and robs from you at multiple points, so I suppose she's more neutral than heroic...

Essentially, grey-area characters, who aren't necessarily heroes or villains. Of course, a lot of the existing heroes were pretty conflicted themselves - Terra, Cecil and Cloud especially - but they came out on top in the end. The others I named were more back-and-forth, or grey through a large part of the story, clashing with Hero and Villain alike.

Auron from FFX is the only character I can really think of that I would want now who hasn't been confirmed for the sequel :p
YES! BRING IN AURON! Also, I'd like to see Barthandulus as a FFXIII villian.

By chance, am I the only one that mains (or at least try to main) Shantotto? Aside from that, I'm giddy, the only thing I can love more then Dissida is a new Smash Bros; and that's quite a while away from now.

Concidering the two new addtions, I do hope they branch out to the spin-offs as well. Babus from FFTA would make a great addtion when considering that Shantotto is part of the set as well. Having the FFXI and FFXII list fleshed out would be wonderful too!

If SE had a competent marketing department (Which judging by their showing at PAX, they don't)
I don't agree with most of your post, but this is 100% true. :( There was no love for the fans that day, it was mostly just trying to pull in new people that never heard of Squeenix before... :/
