This is why lately, my consoles have been getting a lot more attention from me.
aye, amusingly the consoles arnt that much harder to pirate yet feature less of this crap.
I don't see how my statement made that relevant, but okay?
ah i mean when you look at how easy it is to mod your console and pirate games also you think they would look into more security for consoles too. but yea I can understand that! its just a shame that most of anything newer that I own is on PC I have a gimped 360 but yea only game worth mentioning that I own for it and dont have on pc would be The Darkness

Ah okay, sorry, my heads a bit fuzzy as I have a cold. Well my 360 is legit and I don't know anyone who pirates console stuff, I do know someone who grabs anything PC he can get his hands on. I have plenty of console games, I have on average the same amount of games for each console and my PC has a few more.

It's the direction the market is headed. Unfortunately PC game sales are a small fraction of what the rest of the market makes per year.

What strikes me as odd though is that there's still DRM even after being bought through steam.

Wat?

Wish Mine wasnt Locked out of XBL >.< Dangers of buying 2nd hand I'd spose, thats also one reason Ive not bought Halo 3 for 360, No point without XBL xD

but back on subject, a few of us started a thread on the capcom forum asking for the pointless DRM to be removed from Dark Void Zero

I never buy 2nd hand hardware for reasons like that, have you contacted Microsoft about it?

Good luck with that!

Well aint this fun!

Just found out that since steam doesn't have a true uninstaller it more just removes the files, and there is no secuROM removal tool on Capcom's site... Ill be screwed soon enough! Yup I'll have to call Capcom over a ?3.99 game >.<

Yup no License revokes at all for DVZ!

Heres a good question for everyone!

if you LEGALLY own the game and the DRM itself isnt letting you play Becuase of Limited activations would you crack it?

Me personally id say yes as they would have no right to stop me playing a game I paid for and I already know how to bypass it fairly easy, now this also kinda may reflect in this game I mentioned above too, as the same day I got it my pc decided to crap out on me >.< thats 1 wasted activation. I Activated it also on another pc I use sometimes so thats 2 and well when I install xp (Im in Ubuntu linux atm) that will be 3 of 5!

It would come down to relying on Capcom to reset my activations if they can be bothered or me cracking it so I can use my legally owned game!

[sub](if anyone wants to see I really do own the game Im mentioning and thinking of cracking when the time comes check my steam game list my steam is on my profile and its Dark Void Zero)[/sub]
I paid $80 for Dead Space on PC when it first came out. I only have like 4 activations left. Bottom line is... you better fucking believe I'll download it illegally when I've used them all up. I'm not rebuying the game just because they're arseholes.

This whole Limited Activations thing is bullcrap. What if I get a new computer or want to format my hard-drive? What it comes down to is that they're letting you borrow the game you paid full price to own, and if there isn't already a law against doing that then they'd better make it a priority or whatever.

I Loled harder at this thought... ?3.99 game and you may have to pay like ?5.00 in a call to them for just 1 more activation!
