stop time

1 hour = infinity
But this'd be so boring! It's technically a get-around for the one hour clause, but no-one would know and fear you. No-one would even know what you'd done.
But I could ponder the mysteries of life!

Or I could age 10 years in the blink of an eye for a killer party trick.

I like the latter more.

Sort of the ability to read and process anything at incredible speeds. I'dspend the entire hour reading millions of books. It will be epic.

Wow, clearly the stipulation

You can't change the fact that your powers will disappear within one hour
was too complex for some.
Most people weren't changing that fact. They were giving themselves powers which would enable them to renew their powers after the original power disappeared.

Speaking of which the power to gift yourself with time delay activated powers would be great.
"I give myself the ability to give myself superpowers in about... ohhh... 59 mins."

As for a power that doesn't serve specifically to subvert the intentions of the OP:
The power to permanently cure inhibitions, procrastination and other psychological issues like depression and stuff.
Or maybe to just grant people an ensured healthy life until the day they die of old age.

I'd want to teleportation powers!

*zap into the safe* Money? For me? Why thank you! *zap out of the safe with money*

There are many banks in the world so the hour would be used up very fast.

No, a lot at the point I posted that (I'm not going to quote for the sake of not embarrassing others as an example) were things like "lolololol I grant myself the power to have no time limit". Also, giving yourself the power to have powers in an hour's time doesn't work because, no matter what, you lose all powers one hour after the 'challenge' has begun, so any power outside that time limit is rendered null.

I'd choose to bend reality to my whim. My final act before it ends is to give myself a sandwich that permanently gives you the ability to bend reality to your whim.

Yes, I am an asshole.

Reality bending? That's so bland... and vague for that matter. And yet I always seem to hear this one in these types of discussions. It's like there's a virus going around that kill creativity.
Bland? Imagine every power or weapon you can think of. I now have operational versions made of solid gold. And a sandwich. And you're a cat.

It's not bland, it's a cheap way of getting any power you want whenever you want it and then some.
It's bland for the same reason that Superman is a boring super-hero. Yes, technically it's the "best" power, and if I were really presented with this scenario, especially if my options were more limited, then of course I would choose it. But to suggest a practical and logical answer to a manifestly fantastic question is to deny the creativity the question is intended to inspire; i.e. it misses the damn point.

I like metal and soft things and over-the-top carnage and being with my friends, so my answer should reflect that, as it does. Is it so much to ask for a few original, creative ideas? Even if they aren't technically "better" or even if they aren't ironic or sarcastic? Even if you're going to say "reality-bending," could you at least elaborate on what you're going to do with the power?

The ability to produce larges sums of money at will, I could just spend that hour amassing my fortune and never have financial problems again.

See: Sandwiches, Puppies that breathe fire, and a nuclear war where all weapons fire HAPPINESS.
Now that's what I'm talking about.

But really, fire-breathing puppies? ...they're like fluffy dragons! Sweet ass.

I would fly around for an hour, and then touch down.

Sure its not as flashy as making diamonds out of dirt, or blowing up earth, or bending reality, but I don't know, I think it would be nice just to fly around for a little while.

The power to teleport myself into fictional universes and back for as long as I want with complete immunity to damage. I can spend as much time as I want in any fictional universe, be it book, movie, comic, game, etc. but roughly 5 seconds will have passed here.

EDIT: and when I return I snap back to my previous age. If I end up spending too much time in any one universe.

I would become unnoticeable for an hour.
Better then invisibility because even if you got paint on you no one would notice you stealing things. What an hour that would be...
Plus motion detectors wouldn't work either.

I'd wish for the power to flick every person who responded to this thread with "time manipulation lol" in the ear for 58 minutes. Then I'd spend two minutes in a superpositional state banging all of their mothers/sisters/most attractive female friends simultaneously.
