Incidentally, how will this work...? Have they made it so that Reynolds will be playing both Hal Jordan and Wade Wilson, or is someone else going to play Deadpool...? I sure hope Reynolds will remain Deadpool. I still don't understand why they cast him as the Green Lantern, that role is amorphous enough for the lead character to be freely interchangeable...

He's currently cast as both.

Weird, but as long as Reynolds remains cast as Deadpool, fine with me.

Replacing Fox didn''t call for someone with talent to fill that spot.

This says a lot about her acting and the movie.

Ah. They appear to be pulling a Dumbledore. That is, replacing the actor/actress halfway through the series and hoping no-one will notice.

Quite easily, a lot of actors do more than one movie a year. Plus they're filming GL right now, and after that he'll probably move right to Deadpool, for instance Robert Downey Jr. went right from filming Iron Man 2 right onto the set of Sherlock Holmes.
Oh, I'm well aware of that. (Although... seriously? He filmed Sherlock Holmes after Iron Man 2?) I'm just baffled that they'd use the same actor for the leading role in two different comic book movies. Then again, from what I hear they're set to cast the Human Torch as Captain America, although that might have been a misunderstanding/hallucination on my part.

Yeah they are casting the Human Torch as Cap (did you see The Losers? he was awesome in that) And yeah RD Jr. did Iron Man 2 first, then Sherlock, it's because all the animation and stuff was done after the live action so they didn't really need him for that, so he went on and did Sherlock. Plus Ryan Reynolds is pretty awesome, I don't mind him playing either of them, he showed us (in like those 2 minutes) in Wolverine that he can do funny Deadpool, and so long as he doesn't screw up Hal I'm fine with it.
Didn't have a chance to see The Losers, the movie was never released in my country.

I agree on Reynolds, I thought he was the perfect fit for Deadpool, and he said he's a big fan of the character himself.

I still don't know why they had to go with Hal Jordan for the GL movie. In my opinion Hal works much better as a villain than a hero... they could have gone for John Stuart instead. Eh. Well, I'll still go to see the movie once it comes out, of course...

I'll give you two words on why they're choosing Hal. Justice League.
See, that's another troublespot for me. I was introduced to most things DC only a few years back, and seeing how my first experience with the Justice League was the latest animated series I'm actually used to John Stuart as the Green Lantern.

Smart move replacing Fox, I suppose. When your movie franchise literally has nothing to offer but bullshit and tittays, replacing those tittays every couple of movies should keep the series 'fresh' and going strong in the eyes of the 'fans'.

Somebody kill Michael Bay.

PLEASE!
And have his ghost haunt the movie biz for the rest of eternity? No we should be thankful he's sticking to ruining one franchise... For now atleast. Shame it's a really popular franchise.
