i think side jumping is the fastest. in OOT if you side jump you can get to Hyrule Caste from Kokiri Forest before nightfall, you can't do that running.

Find a corridor, time how long it takes to run down it, then time how long it take to roll down it. Speedrunners check these things, ya know?

Actually propelling yourself into a slide by blocking an explosion [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd7asjhfm1A] is way faster. Seriously, check out some speedruns. They're fascinating.

ya, but Zelda is the only chick that link ever really loves. the only game she isnt in is a link to the past, because link had already banged zelda by that game, and so they both died. Link definately is old enough in any of the games where he is not a 7 year old to bang the nigh-immortal zelda

Link was a pimp in TP. Ilia was all over him. I thought Colin was all over him too when I thought he was a she in the beginning of the game, but then again, like that matters. That other chick from the village that would nearly faint from swooning over his amazing slingshot/archery skills. Midna obviously had something for him, and the barmaid practically gave him signals. (well, that's just how she is, and we all know she was actually interested in the shaman of Kakariko, but jeez)

On the N64, backwalking is a lot faster than running

Backflipping is the fastest way to get around I find, in any of the 3D games, if you string a bunch of jumps together. It works best in open areas though since with the target on you can't usually see where you're going (unless it's TP or WW in which case you can target AND freelook)
