This is the one special edition of a game that I'm genuinely sold on. If they don't get it in the UK I'm going to import one.

If only I would actually like LittleBigPlanet. Sorry, I'm just not creative enough for this, and 2 basically looks like WarioWare on steroids.

I friggin' love my Ezio figurine from the AC2 Black Edition, it looks very neat and makes for great geek decoration. The neat art book is also a joy to look through, to see how the game came to life. Same counts for the BioShock 2 CE, it's just a shame that I didn't get the chance to play that record yet.

Also, your mention of a Mafia 2 CE has intrigued me. I shall now go and look for it.

If you are interested the deluxe edition of Mafia 2 is on Steam for pre-order, for £40 (down from £50 it says, which I assume is the price it'll be when it's released) and with a free copy of Mafia. The art book and stuff is all digital, and there's a couple of bonus outfits and cars in-game. [small]Please note that this is friendly advice and not advertising.[/small]

I don't mind stuff like that, I just feel actual art books and figurines are totally useless; half the time they're really cheap crap anyway.

In fact, I think the only special edition I've bought was Just Cause 2, as it was the same price as the normal version with a few extra in-game items.

Well I'm forced to go with the PS3 version, my PC can never handle Mafia 2 properly. I haven't seen any shop selling that CE so far, that is in shops where I don't need a credit card.

Anyway, as for the stuff, it's just what you define as 'useless' really. I like my room with a little flavour, a little personality. And as I'm a nerd, what better to decorate my room with than cool nerd paraphernalia? Like that Ezio figurine from the Black Edition, like the little Cylon figurine I got with the CE of the Battlestar Galactica boxset, like the BioShock 2 posters I got with the BioShock CE. I mean, I would put up Mafia 2's map of Empire City above my TV. It would look pretty awesome.

They liven up my room, and being decorative is a use.

No, because Mafia is my favourite game and I would punch a small child to play Mafia 2 right this second. Having those 2 extra cars and outfits will make me feel like I'm getting the ultimate edition of what will soon take over as my most favourite game.
