Alright, I hate to be "that guy" but I just had this discussion with someone else, then I hear it here:

"...table this discussion..."

That does not mean the same as "shelve this discussion." The shelf is where you put things to bring up later. The table is where you put stuff for current consideration. What, do you plan to make a centerpiece out of the idea so don't forget it? No. You got it backwards.
