Meh. I'm not impressed. I'll watch the next episode, but I fear it will turn into just another Doomsday Arcade or Apocalypse Lane. Hope not.
What Im trying to establish is a realization from a broadcasting stand point. They obviously(even if they have been around for seven years) are filling the void of an extremely good series. I am not comparing visual effects, style, ability or material. Im comparing the fact that this needs to become more overall competitive. If i was to comment purely on the basis that i liked the video I would have said, "Yes! nice video guys keep it up." but this doesn't acknowledge what they need to pay attention to and that is the overall kick-in-the-face attitude to gain the most popularity with their video series.
Ill list the pros and cons for you:
Pros,
nice visual effects
interesting characters
interesting use of pop culture references
cons
Video was short but not sweet, needed to have more power
audio is extremely varying in quality and volume
character expression made it obvious they were being filmed and destroyed the illusion of another world
overall feel of the movie was incongruous and confusing
Happy now. I was going to leave it as a simple post on a forum and wait for the next episode but now i have spent 20 minutes trying to describe exactly why I didnt like it because someone else didnt like that i didnt like it.
