I've been an avid gamer since I was 5 and I'm built enough that I could probably pick 2 of those girls up just fine.

But it's just stupid people trying to find a method to feel better about themselves and failing it.

Im in yr12 in school this year and there are these 3 girls there really rude mean dumb and slutty. Anyway they asked me what i do on the weekends and i said 'I play video games and write about different topics on The Escapist'

They looked at me like i was a idiot and they said 'Why?' and i said because 'i enjoy doing it'

then i said 'Why would you think that Gamers and People on the escapist are fat and ugly'?

Unfortunately, it's conspiracy launched by the main stream mass media corporation to humiliate us back into the droning and stupefying routine of crappy Sit-coms and GOD awful reality TV shows. Why? Because we are geeks, i.e. we decide to stray from the corporations viewership in order to entertain ourselves in other pursuits. They figure that if geeks, specifically gamers in this case, are made fun of enough they could be made to return to their audience. In other words, it's because the the mass media corps HATE that you switched which stream of media you're on.

...this, plus being at that age naivety is quite writhe and people are clicky, easy to judge and don't tend to think too much for themselves, hell I'm a gamer and, I'm not saying I'm good looking, but I'm not ugly and fat.
Few years time more people will come to not judge so quick, although sluts like that are usually in their own world's so don't take note of them

People assume that gamers are fat and lazy because the stereotype that has been given to us by the media and the few extreme cases (as it is with any stereotype) spoil it for those of us who are not like that at all.
I know a tonne of gamers who are fat and/or lazy, but I also know a hell of a lot MORE gamers who are more ripped and active than most people put together.

Ignore the hateful comments of stuck-up tarts and morons like the ones you mentioned OP. They're just jealous because you're awesome and they'll have to work harder to be as popular as you are

I just thought... It's odd. Im in year 13, and everyone (I mean EVERYONE) in any of my classes play at least one type of game and joke about it. Infact, in my school (or year anywho) if you dont play a game, you are classed as wierd. And if you haven't played or don't like Pokemon, you get linched. XD. Having pokemon on my phone made me popular XD

This confuses me a bit. If these girls have boyfriends, which I presume they at some point have had, then why don't they ask the same thing to their loved ones? Arguably, every male plays videogames these days.

Secondly, I-LOVE-MY BODY, therefore I push iron every week.

Thirdly, who isn't lazy at the end of your teens? Proportion is the key, just don't let it get the upper hand.

I probably would have just replied by saying something like: Since you're sluts, does that mean you'll sleep with me for money? cuz I could spare a few pennies for each of you.

Either that or maybe: Since you're sluts does that mean you spend your weekends on street corners and have a dozen STDs. Stupid people believe stereotypes, sometimes the best way to prove them wrong is to show them that the stereotypes about themselves are wrong. If those stereotypes are right, at least you get a bit of fun out it.
