I wasn't talking about graphics. Those are decent enough. I meant the poor AI, and the steep difficulty curve around the beginning.Sacman said:There is a always the high definition texture pack if it really bothers you...Breaker deGodot said:But only if you're REALLY down with old-school games, as the stealth has aged poorly.henritje said:Deus Ex

Well the Shifter mod fixes the difficulty curve but yeah I know what you mean about AI...Breaker deGodot said:I wasn't talking about graphics. Those are decent enough. Really? I felt that Deus Ex was more of an RPG with FPS elements.henritje said:Deus Ex
I loved Fallout 3 and despised Borderlands! Fallout 3 is an exploratory RPG with a fairly strong story. The emphasis is on scaving, find new quests, and of course exploring.Sarkule said:Well, I'd recommend it to anybody. But yeah, if you like Fallout 3, you would probably like Borderlands!J3llo said:if i liked fallout 3 would you recomend it to me?Sarkule said:Borderlands! It's an awesome game!
Yeeeeah.....You obviously haven't played metro 2033. It's got zero amount of RPG elements(Unless you count ammo conservation as a RPG element).Glademaster said:Anyway for games Fallout 3, Bioshock 1 and 2, Deus Ex games, Borderlands, Metro 2033(I think haven't played it), System Shock games off the top of my head.
Well I haven't played it or looked at it much so I couldn't say really. So thats that sorted out. I just put it down in case as I haven't played it for all I know it could be a Mario clone with guns instead of fire flower and monsters instead of Koombas.vrbtny said:Yeeeeah.....You obviously haven't played metro 2033. But, i'd have to agree with all your other recommendations.
I agree completely. This is also a MUST HAVE if you dislike the Twilight approach to vampires. The Madman said:Presuming you're over 18, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines!
More of an rpg with shooter mechanics than the other way around, but it's an absolutely brilliant game which despite some bugs (Which have largely been fixed with official and unofficial patches) is one of the best rpg released in years, even better than Mass Effect I'd say and comparable to the legendary Deus Ex even.
Some people seem to say it works fine, while others don't. I honestly don't know! It uses the Source engine, known best for Half-Life 2, so I don't envision it having too much trouble although there are still a few results that come up with a quick 'vista vampire bloodlines' google search.FargoDog said:Random question, do you know if you can run that on Vista through patches or something? I've always wanted to play it but I've never got round to it, and I've heard a lot of good things.
OT: Pretty much what everyone else has been saying. Borderlands, Fallout 3 and Deus Ex.
This and System Shock 2.The Madman said:Presuming you're over 18, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines!
