Star Wars Galaxy's, its WoW with stormtroopers and spaceships!
People still play Galaxies?

Damn, I thought that would've been shut down by now.
I was pretty pumped about the SWGEMU for the longest time. Years, even? But, that sort of lost steam for me. But, I could see myself playing it if I was playing SWGEMU. But definitely not the actual current retail release.
My main problem was that within the first ten minutes of rolling a character, you were a Jedi and Luke Skywalker's bestest homie.

I liked it better when you actually had to WORK to become a Jedi. Just starting people off as them is...

A bad idea.
I agree completely. I loved the skill tree that the game started off with, too.

SWGEMU is in beta. I've played on it. Some of the aspects of the galaxy don't exist yet, and there are glitches abound, but it makes you feel like you've woken up out of a nightmare and are finally back at home. God, hearing that music play during the character creation screen is beautiful.

In response to OT: if you like numbers and calculations to be the best there is, go for World of Warcraft or EVE Online. If you like casual gaming, check out Guild Wars.

im looking for a fantasty/medieval MMO

i know there are alot and ive seen alot of them but some have only kept me playing a month at most, then ive quit, or wouldnt work on my computer

(yes my computer does run slow)
If you're like me and have a really bad computer (Damn you Vista, Damn you to hell!) you might get stuck with no other option but Runescape. The nice thing is that it plays in browser, so you won't have to install anything, meaning that as long as your internet connection is decent it'll play fine. Apart from that, it's a perfectly mediocre game, but if you just want to indulge in the genre every now and then it's not a bad option, and the gameplay is set up in such a way so as that you can easily play it for five minutes or so whenever the desire hits you, put it down, and come back again whenever you're ready for more.
