Serious Sam...
You have to play Serious Sam!

You could try the Battle for Middle-Earth games.

Overlord is a fun little game
and of course the dawn of war games!

Beneath A Steel Sky [http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/beneath_a_steel_sky]

One of the biggest adventure classics ever. Freeware. You're welcome.
And by biggest you don't mean longest...it took me 3 hours on sunday to finish it :p I haven't played it for like 10 years :)
True, pardon the ambiguous language. Beneath A Steel Sky is all about the quality, not quantity. It's not particularly long.

Lots of classics being mentioned in this thread. I'm going to just add my voice to the votes for Sid Meier's Pirates! and Jagged Alliance 2, a couple of all time classics.

I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to disciples and disciples 2 (both on gog.com)

Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines is also great, if you also want to buy Redemption. Don't forget the fanpatches though, sadly the official patches won't fix everything.

What is the name of your processor, actually? Aside from processors in the same family (and certain extreme cases), it's a myth that the clock rate is any kind of indicator of performance.
My processor is an AMD Athlon(tm) Processor 2650e.
