Super Street Fighter 4 is such a boring game. Once you figure out it all boils down to throwing fireballs endlessly there's no point.
If you don't really understand what's happening in a skilled SF match it would be easier to just not say anything.

I'm not sure if these fit your likes but they are great games. Your played games list is a bit varied-you have all bright, colourful, novel games on your DS and Wii but have 2 Halos on your 360? I'm not hating on Halo (I like it) but it doesn't seem to gel with the rest of your list.
Well, generally from what I've heard and what I've experinced on Nintendo consoles, FPS's and all that tend not to work with me well and Halo is the one game I usually had tended to play whenever I was at a friends, so the thing grew on me over the years, and once I decided to get the xbox 360, I got it with the latest Halo game, in this case reach.

thanks for the recommendations as well.

WALL OF TEXT
First off, thanks for those recommendations, and I'm guessing My netbook would not be able to handle the orange box anyway, It can barely handle those Doctor who Adventure games that where out last year, and that were really jumpy as well.

From what I can get from your fighting game recommends, Marvel v Capcom 3 and Soul Calibur IV are the best ones for getting into the fighting genre and Dead or Alive 4 and Blazblue would be one to look out for in the future once I get used to them.

Here's a tip: Stick to Halo, buddy. Yeah I used a bit of hyperbole but it doesn't change the fact of the matter. It's a total turtle game and it is the most shallow and boring fighter to play or watch.

Seeing as people are only recommending the hard copy games, I'm going to do a little different.

The Xbox Live Arcade!

There are a treasure trove of titles on here that you will love and enjoy; I see you've already bought Sonic and Yugioh so I'll mention some other great titltes. (pssst, download them as demo form first, tastes may always vary!)

Castle Crashers (it's awesomely fun)
Castlevania - Harmony of Despair (only consider if you have Gold)
Castlevania - Symphony of the Night (fucking BUY IT)
Comic Jumper (it's a funny little game)
Dead Rising 2 - Case West (can skip it tbh, but if you love DR1+2 this is a nice piece)
Dead Rising 2 - Case Zero (the better of the two titles)
Hard Corps: Uprising (Contra!)
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (a BLAST in co-op)
Limbo (you'll be impressed)
Magic the Gathering (limited in deck building, but decent for what it is)

NOTE: Lara Croft and the Guarding of Light is on a half price sale this week so I suggest picking it up while it's on sale!

Based on some of your preferences I'm going to recommend you "Blue Dragon". The art was done By Akira Toriyama who also did the designs for Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger and it's an Xbox 360 exclusive. It's not a block-buster so nobody else has recommended it, but not every game has to be to be enjoyable. You can get it dirt cheap any old place.
Not to mention that it was made by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the guy who made the good Final Fantasy games (I,II,IV,V,VI,VII and IX).

[sub]Lost Odyssey too.

EDIT: And Parasite Eve (the first one).[/sub]

You really don't even have an inkling of what goes in the zoning and footsies in the game. The fire balls are what keep the mind games more complex and give the game more depth than just pokes and mix ups.

As for non-projectile characters being all bad, that's just a blatantly ignorant statement.
I was going to go on but actually ya know what? There's no point in arguing with you. You keep using words like "ignorant" and "inkling" and putting words in my mouth like "all bad". I'm sensing a lot of hostility and anger on your part that's not going to go anywhere reasonable or productive. Let's not bog down the thread further.

I never said they were all bad, they just don't win tournaments and people don't play them unless they're playing around. "The fireballs are just what keep the mind games complex"? I think you're giving your game too much credit, I really do. If you weren't a fanboy you wouldn't see the need to insult me out of the blue for my opinion. Before I was wrong about the fireballs, now I don't understand why the fireballs are taking place, how much back peddling is it going to take? Can you at least admit it's a turtle game?
Characters who are not projectile based do win tournaments. Here's a list of the competetiveness of every character in the game based on matchups http://www.eventhubs.com/guides/2008/oct/17/street-fighter-4-tiers-character-rankings/

I haven't back pedaled in the slightest, you don't understand the mindgames in fire ball wars, and as a direct consequence you don't understand how the fire balls add to the game.

And yes the game is very defensive. If you had merely made that observation and explained that you don't like it you would have spared yourself from making a very obnoxious and ignorant comment.

EDIT: Saw your edit. I didn't put words in your mouth. Calling a character low on the tier list is the same as calling a character competetively bad.

Welp, when I made it I realized it was wrong and I undid it. I did it mainly to be obnoxious in the face of the videos I posted, but I knew it was a blatent flaw and I didn't like it. I didn't like being obnoxious either. You however caught it before my edit (wouldn't you know it) and you've pressed that one point to put egg on my face. So bravo. It was the wrong tact to defend a point I didn't even like in the first place. Sometimes you lose and today I have. Nothing else I say would have any validity. But I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong, and I was. Congratulations. But all the same I do find the game incredibly dull because it's so defensive and projectiles are a part of that. For what it's worth GG and I hope you won't consider me an idiot but you seem so angry I doubt that.

I would say DOA 4 is still very friendly to beginners, yes.

Oh right, I must have misread it, I had already snipped the text when I started writing the response and I had to keep scrolling back to read the post
