Lord of the Rings Extended Editions Coming to Theaters

They're rereleasing these in theatres because- and take note,

each film will also include a "new and personal introduction" by director Peter Jackson, filmed on the set of his current project, The Hobbit.
It's marketing, Bilbo Baggins. LOTR has been out for some time, re-releasing the movies creates buzz for the old series.

I got excited when I read the thread title; I was just thinking that I'd like to watch these in the theatre again. And then I read only in the US.
