Fanboys: ready, set, go!

But seriously, this can't be right, surely? I can understand something like Mass Effect 2 needing more than one disc, but Lost Planet 2? It must be a huge jump up from the original to warrant enough content to fill an entire disc.

Either that, or Microsoft have pissed off Capcom in some form. Either way, it seems us Xbox gamers have pulled the short straw this time- with no news as to whether we'll ever actually see the cut content on the system.

Discuss.

awwwweeee..... I <3 the first one, but I mean... it's still comming out on the xbox so I'm cool. Still... little bit of dissapointment :/

EDIT: when I first this post I thought it was talking about LP2 being canceled on the 360...

Seems like two disc games really are expensive to produce. Though this is a shame for 360 owners, this comes few and far between.

Yea, the demo didn't wow me enough to spark an interest in the game. Not too big a loss.

Hmmmmm spend more to make it two discs, or cut content and make it a garbage game. I know what I'm going to do!!!!!! This has convinced me this game is not worth my time.

Thing is, other developers (Mistwalker coming to mind, of Lost Odyssey fame) have stated that the costs of multiple disc games are actually lower than expected (That said, if the expected amount was ridiculously high, this says nothing)

One thing is for sure, I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that if the cut content comes out as paid DLC, I won't be a very happy bunny.

Yikes... does this mean they're cutting it from the PS3 version too? Or does the PS3 get a bigger game? Cause that doesn't just seem unfair (I own a PS3 before you all call me a fanboy!), but also unlikely, considering that such a move might alienate Capcom from many 360 players...

As is the tragic nature of a forum that moves so fast. I did actually run a search first, but your topic had LostPlanet in one word, which ultimately throws off my criteria.

Pistols at dawn then, eh?

Disc switching isn't hard people. You only have to do it once. In RPGs, at least. THE HORROR OF DISC SWITCHING!

Thats the thing, there isn't going to be a second disc to switch to.

I know. I was just making a statement about why it wouldn't matter anyway.

Also, I really want this game. I never liked the first too much, but the demo was awesome. Co-op like that is insane. Anywho, it'll be DLC. Possibly free, as Capcom released a few free DLCs in the past, too.

I'm deeply suspicious of this action. Ten bucks says that Capcom just asspulled this so that they could release the rest of the content on an oh-so-not-free DLC.

I played the demo ON 360.

It was terribad.
So was the first game. So boring, I couldn't play past the first two levels. This from the person who has beaten Oblivion six times.
