No, there is no love at first sight. Then again I find the ability for two people to fall in love with each other as absurd. There is no way. I don't believe in love.
Agreed

from personal expirience. i use to be bad enough that i didn't believe in love at all. it was just all co-existing for me. then i met my boy. time slowed down for me(not joking) and i just knew he was the one i wanted to spend my life with. we started talking and our conversations have confirmed it. we've been together almost a year now. but we've known each other longer....just took a while for him to get out of the relationship he was in and for us to date. not as cynical as i use to be. still pretty jaded though....

I know it certainly could never happen to me, but I wouldn't say it's impossible. People are wired extremely differently, and sometimes the same person's way of loving can change drastically based on who they're in love with. There are just too many variables for love at first sight to be completely ruled out.
The closest I've experienced is getting a first glance at someone and knowing I want them in my life, but that's only as a resource or possible friend, never in a lustful or romantic way. So far it's never worked out, either. Much better of with connection at first conversation.

Yes. Absolutely possible.

My girlfriend (hopefully soon to be fiancé) and I are proof.

We knew the moment we met that we were soulmates.

That's lovely, my best wishes should you decide to tie the knot.

You can want to 'pork' someone at first sight, I've had that many a time myself, but love takes time to form.

I'm a firm believer in the 'science' of love. which is that certain chemicals are released in the brain at different stages in relationships which cause use to feel that 'ooey gooey love' feeling.

It's been said already in this thread, but yeah, "love at first sight" is not real. It's more like:

*looks at girl*
Damn... I'd hit that forwards, sideways, and under!

... at first sight.

Love requires knowing someone's personality, to believe in love at first sight is to insult love, making it as shallow as lust.

Here is my view.
You can try to be in love you can give her the whole damn world. Try your dam nest to make her happy. You can give your heart your soul your trust. And in a few seconds she can tear your world right in two.

The I'd tap that in first site ya that exists. Experienced that first hand... But all the above happened afterwards.

Moral of the story TACOS RULE!

Love at first sight only exists in Shakespearean drama and the heads of people who mistake lust for love.

I do however believe that you can notice compatibility at first sight (little different than just like or lust, and only sometimes)
