I would say that it exists. But right now, just because it does, it doesn't mean I have to like it. :p Life would be so much simpler for me right now if there was no such thing...

Of course it exists.

If not, then all forms would be either neutral or hate.

Love can be defined in many ways, but a brief description is just the caring for something. Hell you could love yourself, or your lamp. I really don't care, but if your care for 1 thing in this world, you have love =p

Love is feeling, just as any other. Of course it exists.
At least I hope it do.

Yes, love does exist. Or at least i think it does. Doesn't mean i like the fact though, the first and only time iw as in love ended horribly, and i am still suffering the repercussions of it, 4 months later!

So yes, the evil-ness of love does exist...although i will admit, love is a great feeling when you have it! Anyone who is currently in love, i say fair play to you! With any luck i will be in love soon, and it wont end badly!

It's an emotion, not a magical airborne pasta dish. It exists, we all experience it to various degrees. If you don't want to call it love, if you're one of those people who goes out of their way to pin other words on every example of love thrown your way, then good for you, apparently you love semantics.

Depends on the definition. If you're talking about "True Love," i.e. every person has someone out there destined for them as their perfect life companion, then no. By the way, if you do happen to believe in this kind of love, you are a moron. Probably believe in god too, right? Hilarious! If, however, you mean the varying types of love that people develop as they get to know each other and grow together, then yeah, you'd have to be completely retarded to not believe in it; you see it every fucking day.

I came to a conclusion recently, Love is just an emotion made up to justify a human's inherent urge and desire to have recreational sex (and all the shit that comes before)with as many people as they can before they become dry and shriveled.

I'd like to believe that the idea of love that i grew so attached to in my boy-hood still exists, but unfortunately all efforts to find and maintain it have been futile.

I'd like to think it exists, though I'm not sure whether or not I've experienced it before (I'm talking about romantic love here, not your everyday type of "I love you mum and dad" love that pretty much absolutely exists).

I don't believe in 'soul-mates' in the traditional sense though; it fills me with despair to think that out there is the perfect person for me, and I might never meet her. I'd go in a slightly different direction and say that there are a range of suitable partners out there, not just one, so its not quite a huge 'how the heck am I going to find them' scenario.

Sure love exists, but it isn't the way hollywood portrays it. You have to work at it, you can't take it for granted. It's not fire and forget. You have to try, which is something recent generations seem to have forgotten.

I assume by this you mean our parents' generation who keep getting divorced all the fucking time. As for "my" generation, fuck everyone in it. We all know 18 year-olds are the scum of the earth, so obviously they can't hold together a relationship. I hate all of 'em.

I suppose it does exist, but I am indifferent towards it.

Love, the Nerfball view: AHA! AHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAaaaaa... no.

Honestly, no matter how much you try, no matter where you go, who you see and what you do, love will die. Even if it isn't crushed via divorce, being cheated on or massive alchoholisim and family wide rguements. Then death will punt whatever "love" you think you have in the head so hard that it's honestly a surprise that it has any head left. Yeah, that was a crap analogy, but this thread has brought back all the horrible twisted pain of three train wreck relationships in one gloriously depressing moment. I think I'm allowed a brief period of completely falling apart now, thanks.

Oh, and to make a semi-intelligent point: Who cares?!? If you think you're in love and visa verca, go for it! Ask said person out, the worst that could happen is that they say no. No regrets means anything could happen. Live your life man! Or woman! Let's be politically correct here shall we?

I can't make up my mind whether Love exists or is it simply a "second hand emotion" (Quote by Tina Turner)
Due to recent events in my own life, I'm drawn more so to the latter...what about you?
Keanu Reeves: "What about Love?..."

Al Pacino: "Overrated! Biochemically no different than eating large quantities... of chocolate."

Loved that line. Hell, I loved Al Pacino's entire performance in "Devil's Advocate".

Also:

I've seen friends in love with people they were horribly incompatible with, even suicidally depressed over it, and it disgusts me; the "love", not the people.

Also, my mom married and had kids with 4 different dudes, so lemme make that disclaimer right now.

My examples of marriage and relationships make me feel no remorse for being single.
