It's what I do.Hunde Des Krieg said:Yeah that is kinda what I mean, although much angrier...MegamanX1331 said:I assume by this you mean our parents' generation who keep getting divorced all the fucking time. As for "my" generation, fuck everyone in it. We all know 18 year-olds are the scum of the earth, so obviously they can't hold together a relationship. I hate all of 'em.Hunde Des Krieg said:Sure love exists, but it isn't the way hollywood portrays it. You have to work at it, you can't take it for granted. It's not fire and forget. You have to try, which is something recent generations seem to have forgotten.
I was like you once - divorced at 28 from a she-hag that drove me to declare bankruptcy and ended up cheating on me. And then she ruined my life by dumping everything on me all at once and telling me she never loved me.ZZoMBiE13 said:Being a mid-30's divorcee I can honestly say that no. No I do not. Sure I love my mom and dad and daughter, but that "REAL LOVE" crap that movies yammer on about is a fairytale.
Of course it's entirely possible that I'm just jaded and bitter.
That's it, pretty much.jim_doki said:is love real? yes. Is it what everybody thinks it is? No
Love isn't a magical moment where suddenly you and the person said love is associated with live happily ever after. Love is the willingness to put up with their shit. to stick by them when they need it and support them when they can't stand. Love, i guess, is where you have two people who do all this for each other, and smile when doing it. Yes, you will get angry at each other, and yes, there will be rough patches, but at the end of the day, if you're still smiling, that's love
