Helloooooooo people of The Escapist!

This is my first forum posting (not that anyone cares), and I was wondering if anyone here had the misfortune of reading this travesty (http://www.doomworld.com/10years/doomcomic/comic.php ) from cover to cover. Be warned: If you haven't, it may cause you to lose a couple of brain cells.

Also, if anyone has a hard copy they want to get rid of, feel free to leave me a reply.

The Doom comic is a testament to all that is capable of being horribly bad, disparagingly poor, and subsequently fantastic as a result. Much like DOOM: Repercussions of Evil.

EDIT
Oh, and welcome to The Escapist. I'd recommend adding a discussion prompt in your post, as this seems more like a showcase post than a discussion starter.

I really felt that the main character is on a speed/acid trip.

He does say Groovy a la Ash in Evil Dead though, which gets major points.

I stopped reading after "Who's a man and a half? I'm a man and a half!" I would have continued but I feared for my life.

Why does it have a warning of graphic violence when there is a man's head exploding on the cover?
Yeah, I noticed that too. Seems, I don't know, ironic? Unnecessary?

This comic is a great document, and everybody involved in writing should read it as a perfect example of why things need to be changed when you're adapting a story to a new medium. As far as I can tell, this comic was an attempt to transcribe the literal events of the video game into the comic format, and all of the justifications and comic-medium additions are what make it so hilariously terrible.

Yes! Yes! And yes! "Who's a man and a half? I'm a man and a half!" It doesn't make a lick of sense but what's wrong with that? Plus he kicks down a door for no reason and says the phrase "Dig it."

EDIT:

I appologise for my previous statement. I made it to about page 10 before giving up. I thought they could have at least made something of it. So many bad one-liners...

Stopped reading when the marine shoved "DYNAMITE!" into the monsters chest. This comic makes the DOOM movie look good.

The guy falls into radioactive waste and his response is "That can't be good."?

Well gee, ya think?

After giving it some thought that was very loyal to the spirit of the game, all it needed were doors requiring coloured keys.
