That age group would be at least into their 30's by now. And would have lots of responsabilities. They are people who will always say that nothing will be as good as the old films, and most likely wouldn't jump on anything new thats aimed at them.
Pass me that sledgehammer, it's more clumsy and random than a blaster.

Well I have watched quite a few episodes of Marvel Super Hero Squad and I like it. They manage to put enough content in for a more mature audience as well as keeping it kid friendly. And how can you not like a show that has THE Stan Lee as the Superhero City mayor?

I guess it's ok to introduce SW to young ones, but I was already going to do this without a useless cash-in.

WHY ARE THE FISTS AS BIG AS THEIR HEADS?!
It's like a million voices all cried out and then there was just silence...

I'm a bit speechless. How in the hell can they expect this to grab the interest of pre-schoolers. Aye. Star Wars, what happened to you my friend?

I thought that's what the prequels were all about. ;-)
Excellent point. You too have grasped the meaning of the prequels...well, the first two at least. I thought Episode 3 was actually quite good.

Maybe Lucas is trying to create a new level of suck that makes the Star Wars: Holiday Special not seem as bad. Although, that would probably rip a hole in the universe.

3 things really
1) this is a money grab? i thought episodes 1-3 were the money grab
2) finally so all those douche-bag "trendy" kids who decide its super-cool to wear backpacks and shirts with children's cartoon mascots at least it'll be something we all know.
3) 2012 huh... i always knew Lucas would bring forth the end of the world...

No one is forcing (pardon the pun) anyone to watch it, what's the big deal?

zOh well, I don't think I'll watch it. Star Wars is just trying to appeal to all age groups
Thats what the Clone Wars is for.
But...but...not kids that are 4 years old. Yeah they need a show too
No they don't. You could show a four year old the original movies and they wouldn't understand a thing that was going on, but still be entertained thanks to the space ships and light sabers and whatnot. I was about that age when I first saw it.
I'm so gonna make my kids watch 'em with me.
