I rarely have snow days since my town and school board are run by burned out hippies. No, seriously, they are.

Not really, although for the last 2 weeks I've gotten out of 5 hours straight of labs twice.

School is closed all week here because we had a huge snowstorm on Friday. Also, more snow tomorrow. Honestly, though, I'm sick of snow.

We're supposed to have a snowstorm Wednesday that will likely result in the school being closed. Which is very lucky for me considering I have an essay due Friday, a major test Thursday, and Bioshock 2 coming out Tuesday. I need as much spare time as I can get.

Never had one, when it snowed when I was in school, even if the boiler broke we were forced to stay in school. Fun.

we don't have snow days. bummer, because my bike doesn't acknowledge that and my brakes simply freeze.

Okay, I think mine beats yours.
I attend my regular High School for 3 periods, go home for lunch, then go downtown (Columbus) for a half day humanities program.
My native high school recently failed the past 3 levis, so we can't really afford to go over days. Last Friday it was expected 5-7 inches in the middle of the day. We had school, and during second period it snowed really hard. There's still tons of snow on the ground. (it's Monday) The half day program ended up being canceled (I guess that counts as a snow day, it does to me.) So my friends and I piled in the car, went to my house, and got the sleds out. We went to the closest hill and sledded for about an hour on the really fresh snow. Afterwards we were really soaked, so we went to Tim Hortons for hot chocolate.
Best (half)snow day ever.

I've got school off for the week this is a record snowfall for the DC area, theres 2 feet of snow and 10 more inches on the way. Thats pretty lucky you see exams had just ended and we're supposed to get our grades back and I'm not sure I did so well so the snow is holding it back.

I've discovered that a snow day is much more likely to occur in the general vicinity of the superintendant's house...

You have snowdays?

I have to plough my way to school every time it snows. On a bicycle.

Luckiest snow day I can recall is the one that happened in the middle of April. I didn't have anything due that day but it was still pretty damn spontaneous.

There are no un-lucky snowdays, every snowday by default is lucky.

...-snip-...

I've almost missed a weekend with my gf because of it. Weekends are the only time I'm able to see her.

Snow blocked off my school for a week where I was supposed to be doing my mocks, didn't revise in that week though, spent all that time gaming :)

I live in Erie. We get 120+ inches of snow per year. The most we ever get is a two hour delay. I can only recall one time we've ever gotten a snow day and that was because of ice and took place in 2003.
Ah, the joys of living with lake effect snow. I've only had one delay this year, but I'm still holding out for a mid-February storm like what happened a few years ago... http://www.usatoday.com/weather/storms/winter/2008-01-21-ny-snow_N.htm

Though I gladly do not hail from Fulton.
