I read to "...with direct democracy..." after that I stopped and wrote this with all credibility you ever had in my mind vanishing.xeed said:No, not a system of "government", a system that operates WITHOUT a government that operates with direct democracy and regional cooperation. Law enforcement, military and intelligence agencies would be the only exceptions. Literally every other government agency is a pile of unneeded garbage.CM156 said:Wait, are you saying that open source projects are something to base a system of government and economics around? Really?xeed said:Which is why the only system that would work with the least amount of corruption and abuse is a lack of a system.Atmos Duality said:Hmm. It is dubious, but at the same time hacker groups get into one-upsmanship contests quite frequently. Attacking a publicly "successful" group like Lulzsec and exposing them as script kiddies is just business as usual (only, more public).ultrachicken said:I highly doubt this is legitimate.
A pragmatic black ops security agency hides its activity from the public?xeed said:I think you misunderstand what I mean when I say the CIA is against us. They aren't directly attacking Americans (unless they have legitimate reason to think they're a terrorist threat), but the operations they conduct I can say with 100% certainty include misinformation and false flags to keep Americans in check and to keep those in power above popular hatred.
I don't care if people lose jobs. That's good. The more the system collapses the more people will realize the system is absolute garbage.
STOP THE PRESSES!
And Pray-tell what system WOULD work? All human organizations are susceptible to corruption, and is in fact, expected. Even if we revolted and started a new government tomorrow, corruption would reform along with the new order established. It's human nature, and it cannot be prevented; only treated.
If you think that wouldn't work I'll direct you to open source projects, which often work brilliantly.
OT: Again, eff these hackers. Take down LulzSec
How in the world does that actually make white hats bad?Kopikatsu said:Moral of the story? Hackers are bad. All of them. Even the white hats, because without hackers, we wouldn't NEED white hats.
There was no pre-announcement of Lulzsec hacking PS3 whatsoever. There was a post announcement by Sony that Anonymous did the hacking which I also have problems believing knowing Anon's previous history.Lulzsec steals data but not money,it's just how they roll.Any other unintelligent and unchecked things you want to mention.I think we understood you're all anti-hacker from this thread alone. There's no need to further reinforce your points unless you're going out of your way to show how stupid and silly you are.Tdc2182 said:No, I do not know that because it's not true.Hristo Tzonkov said:You do know that a group that publically announces everything they do would probably say that they hacked the PS3.Someone did it to steal credit cards, not for the lulz.
Seeing how they publicly announce almost everything they do (including hacking the PS3) before hand, I think it's safe to assume that they are the actual hackers that did actually steal the credit card information.
They did it because they can. Which is pretty much what they mean by "lulz".
Anything else unintelligent you want to say?
...please tell me you meant to say the Romans...Every democracy no matter how pure has always devolved into a hierarchy and then into a tyranny. Just look at the Greeks, the shinning example of democracy for their time and look what happened.
Direct democracy is the will of the people on how to act on certain issues, and as it's the peoples' choice they are not being "governed".Lacking a government isn't the answer, by the way you portray it you're being highly contradictory seeing as a democracy is a form of government.
Communism is terrible on paper. It deals with labor in an age where technology increasingly displaces labor. A republic with electorates is NOT elected "by the people", that is pure fantasy. It is elected by the MONEY.The best on paper is communism but the best in actual effect is a republic with electorates elected by the people and what not that listen to the people who voted them in and thus vote in their favor. Your system of thinking that no government = best is extremely flawed because every social gathering of people in any society has a system of government. Enough of that though.
You may want to take this to the R&P section of the site if you feel so strongly about it. Also, you may want to quote people by hitting the quote button so they know that you responded to them.xeed said:...please tell me you meant to say the Romans...Every democracy no matter how pure has always devolved into a hierarchy and then into a tyranny. The way to prevent democracy from devolving into hierarchy and tyranny, is to have a constitutional document that explicitly forbids, under threat of justice, any infraction of the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and everything that implies; not interpreted by a bunch of shady, lobbyist run lawyers in legislative positions, but by a judicial system that has checks and balances.

I do not think "no government" is best but I do believe that it is a necessary step for us to eliminate our current system in order to evolve naturally to what will benefit the commonwealth, eg the most good for the most people.
Come on poison.Rem45 said:Finally, the group claims that they will release photos and names of the members to the public.
Actually he's right. I know you feel strongly about this however whatever your original argument was it seems to have gotten lost and is now greatly off-topic. Might be best to move it to its own thread. Discuss it there, here its starting to derail the topic at hand.xeed said:q: madCM156 said:You may want to take this to the R&P section of the site if you feel so strongly about it. OT: Hackers man. Why do they exist?
a: you
I think LulzSec should fuck off because they release the personal information of private citizens who have done no wrong. I don't care how much money they cost a huge exploitative corporation, and revealing secret CIA info is a good thing. If the CIA are doing something they feel they need to keep secret, that means it's something the public would probably not want them doing.Rem45 said:I want this to happen because hackers that target things like PSN and cost comapanies millions of dollars and attack organisations like the CIA (who keep information a secret for a reason) should get lost.
