I don't lie. Less out of moral principle, and more out of it gets too complicated too fast and I suck at it. Honesty is usually easier. More painful up front, but less in the long run.

People lie all the time. According to Lord Robert Winston, people lie on average about three times a day. It depends on what you count as a lie. Personally, I would count a lot of facial expressions as deceitful. If someone is talking, it is only polite to pull various faces to show you empathise with what they are saying (frowning, tutting, grinning etc.). Most of these are exaggerations - I don't really care what they are saying, the faces are just to make them feel understood.

I lie a lot. About 80% of the things I say out loud are a lie. Sad part is I don't even notice I'm doing it anymore.

I lie when I don't care about the consequences, just to save me time or because I can't be bothered arguing, works even better if it's a question no-one can ever find the answer to.

"Hey mate can you do some mundane task that I can easily do myself but by asking you to do it you'll feel like you have an obligation"

"promise me you'll go to bed before 10 PM"

Sure thing.

It's like on South Park where Stan lied when he was with PETA.

sure I lie all the time, I don't think its because I'm a bad person, it's just saying "I'm Fine honest" seems the easily option then trying to explain why I'm feeling low at that time.

Ya thats pretty much exactly why I stretch the truth (and hold back bits too). That way I can side-step the whole moral situation and still get away with it. That and, like I said, its become a game.

That is what I like to call "refusal to disclose sensitive and/or incriminating information".

I hate lying. I may tell a little white lie from time to time to avoid hurting people's feelings or avoid unnecessary confrontations, but I keep that to a minimum. I hate being lied too--especially when it's from someone who is a good friend or something. It makes you feel like you don't really know them.

I'm honorable! I only lie when it would advance my goals or provide me with entertainment, and nothing more.

I take pride in my abilities to come up with parallel stories to what actually happened, so I lie whenever I get the opportunity. I've gotten quite good at it.

When it comes to Lying, I'm a selfish bastard. I will lie on the spot (usually by playing dumb, I'm really good at that) to get myself out of trouble.

I will not lie about my opinion though. Someone asks if I love it or hate it, even it it means something to them, if I hate it, I'll tell them I hate it.

Lies to protect yourself from others? All the time.
"Little white" lies to protect others from you? Out of the question.

I'm weird like that.
