Lying and you

I only lie when its required. When the truth will hurt someone that bad, I rather lie. I've burned down too many bridges in my life time to keep on destroying relationships. My close friend on the other hand, is the opposite, he will tell the truth, no matter how painful it is and try to rebuild links. We do come to odds about this a lot.

I only lie whenever I want to get out of trouble or don't fell like doing something. Sometimes I lie automatically. I guess somethings wrong with me or it is simply human nature to be deceitful.

I tell the truth to a fault. I will not lie to somebody to make them feel better, I never lied about why I didn't do my homework, I've never lied about disliking something that some one holds dear. I try my best to be diplomatic in all situations but lying is never an option as far as I'm concerned. I also do not keep secrets, but I tell people this when they entrust me with them. Ask me a question and I'll tell you the truth, no matter what the consequences.

I only really lie to make people laugh. Otherwise, I'm a pretty honest guy. I tells teh truht and doesn't afraid of anything.

Another question has popped up from me to the Escapist. What are your thoughts on lying? Do you lie like there's no tomorrow or are your words like gold? Do you throw out the 'little white lie' every now and then, or are your lies worthy of an Oscar?
Personally, I dont like outright lying, but it has become kind of become a game to see how far I can stretch the truth. Its not a good thing I know, but lies never are.
So! be honest and tell me your thoughts. Spill your tales of deceit and I promise I wont tell....

I rarely lie and seldom speak the truth if that answers your question, I prefer to bend the truth if it needs be, but I really dislike just outright lying because I find it tends to be more a feat of arrogance then deception. (Ie: that you didn't do something you did to avoid getting out of trouble just seems to cross me badly somehow) That's not to say I don't lie on occasion though, just never blatantly and I tend to avoid committing to the lie.

Honesty isn't always the best policy. Sometimes lying is for the better.

The biggest part of being a good liar is having a good memory. Without it, the web can become very tangled. Try not to make lies too complex and it sounds strange but if you can really make yourself believe it, its quite easy.

If your a good liar, it also makes you be able to pick a liar alot easier. If someone answers a question and looks slightly to the right, its a good chance they are lying. Also people touching their face is another dead giveaway.

I'm an honorable man I tell the truth all the time everytime. It's just that I hate being lied to so to be fair I, in turn, do not lie to others.

Bullshit! And that goes for everyone who says they dont lie. Its a proven fact that EVERY human being lies. Its in our blood!

I'm sure I lie about minor things without realising it. But more often than not when asked a question or when there's no reason to lie, I tell the truth. I also make it a point never to lie to my lady friends.
