Calling all Escapist Chefs!
Recently I have been experimenting with food with the aim of making more fun or weird meals. This all started because I was curious how people would react to blue paella and it has ended up with me wanting to create a whole meal in the style of a mad scientist.
The aim is to produce a 3 course meal that looks like a science experiment but tastes delicious. The more vivid the colour the better.
The ideas I've got so far are probably the fairly obvious ones:
Multi-coloured shooters in test tubes.
Brightly coloured cocktails served in beakers.
Multi-coloured jelly with things like jelly snakes in them served in Petri Dishes.
A cake in the shape of a brain that bleeds when cut.
However, that is just drinks and desserts and I need something a bit more wholesome.
So does anyone have any suggestions? The only criteria is make it as weird looking as you can, but try not to make it too complex as I have a very small kitchen.
