(following may contain Spoilers)

Personally, I think a good plot for Infamous 2 would be you playing as The Beast mentioned in the 1st game, and you can prove the prophecies true and be all evil and what not, or Screw the Destiny You have Fire and try and do good, though either way your hunted down by Cole, who can either be evil and try to secure his position as the strongest superhuman, or if he's good and your good, he'll be a Templar-esque figure, trying to kill you because he assumes you'll become what Kessler told him you would.

And you'd get to play with Fire instead of Lightning, and anyone who says that wouldn't be fun is lying.

I enjoyed the first one. It was fun and surprised the hell out of me.

The characters were kind of stiff though... and corny. Not to mention Cole's voice showed little to know emotion. But hopefully stuff like that will be improved for the sequel.
Am I missing something or does there seem to be a major Spartacus surplus on this site.
I, Spartacus have no idea what your talking about.

Agree with everyone, it is definitely in my top 5 games from the current generation. It is great fun, side missions have enough variety and actual meaning for you to do them, and it was one of the few games that made me think "NEED TO BE BIGGER, FASTER, STRONGER", and actually made me search for all the hidden stuff to make my energy bar grow till the limit. And really, the controls are among the finest ever in videogames.

The first game was 7/10 material. Lets the new one improves on the formula significantly.
Agreed. I've never understood why a lot of people said "Infamous does sandbox right" I finished everything there was to do do in the game within a week. Felt rather bitesized to what it could've really been.
Isn't the fact that you actually cared enough to finish everything a sign that it did sandbox right? It might have been kind of short, but you do care to finish everything, become the strongest you can be, and clean up the city completely. And it was the right size to not become too repetitive and boring.

I won't lie and say I wouldn't love it to be 10 hours longer, and maybe have some kind of arena thingy with challenges after you finish the game, but it's still one of my favorite sandbox games, possibly after AC2/FO3.

Not entirely, I'm a completionist. I like to finish everything 100%, so when something takes me barely a week to finish compared to the weeks/month it takes to finish something like Fallout 3 or San Andreas.. Yeah, it feels small especially since by the time I finished the story the only thing left to do was collect all shards and then beat the game again as Evil.

Will I finally be able to shoot through Chain Link Fences or at the very least climb over them? I demand to know! I will not be tormented by the likes of them any longer!

A war will I wage! A war against them all!
LOL!!!! Agreed.

Infamous was a 9/10 game at the bare minimum and was a LOT of fun....which is strange coming from a PS3 game to me. j/k

I will definitely pick up Infamous 2.

4 words should describe the 1st game's awesomeness: Remote Controlled Megawatt Hammer. That power was awesome. Liked the character, liked the game, liked the ending, liked how things were left. You know what I hated? That motherfucking last shard. Still haven't found it.

Here's hoping Sucker Punch will deliver again.

It seems like the developers could go with a city wide blackout scenario for the story. One minute Cole is running to help out or harm innocent civilians then, *BOOM*, more of those orb explosions. Have him already weakened so a threatening being could drain him of all his power. Then that's probably where you could start off. At least, I would like to see that happen. Hopefully the sequel will fix all the little quirks that the first Infamous had. Maybe even add some new powers. Perhaps a faster way to get around, like flying. Some stronger melee attacks. Possibly some lightning gauntlets, maybe do a cool thing with his eyes.

That 'lightning gauntlets' thing exists in a way. It is called Gigawatt blades and is on the PSN for free.
