There's nothing wrong with that though.gamer_parent said:I like how half of these suggestions basically amount to, "SPEND ANOTHER 6 MONTHS OF MANPOWER TO FINISH THE GAME"
This guy/gal right here got it in one.Buleet said:Mass effect 3. Give the developers the time they needed to actually get in something good.
Make that most post-EA bioware games.
It's going to be an agonising wait for GFWL to be patched out, isn't it?Lugbzurg said:Fix the PC version so that you don't have to sign into multiple Microsoft websites just to save the game! This kind of DRM crap is exactly what makes piracy thrive!michael87cn said:Dark Souls: Oh. Shit. Can't improve this game because it's pretty much perfect.![]()
Or at least make them more ambiguous/well written. You leave with the impression that, wow, Alan Wake is a terrible writer. Inelegant prose and no suspense. That's hardly Stephen King, now, is it?DrunkOnEstus said:Alan Wake - Remove the Stephen King wanking and pages that spoil what's about to happen to you, and you have a great action-thriller.
Oh yes. I loved everything about Far Cry 3. Except Jason. He was such a douchebag. I really have no other word for him. I suppose that him being a douchebag could fit within the premise of the story, but I could not take him seriously as the protagonist.V da Mighty Taco said:OT: Far Cry 3 - Make Jason Brody likable and believable. I still despise that fucking prick.
The actual combat sequences themselves are fine -- quite decent even, but they really don't belong in a Deus Ex game.Jim_Callahan said:Also, I would say take Deus Ex: Human Revolution, remove the nonsensical unavoidable boss combat sequences. Put whatever moron came up with that in front of a firing squad and have the inquisition hunt and burn all his works, then nuke the third-party company that implemented the idea, just to be sure.
i'm pretty sure that there's a mod that does that. in fact let me look for some.michael87cn said:Errr, I have some ideas for the opposite actually. Make some good games way better with one change.
Spelunky: Let me pan out, control the camera and see the entire level, and then pan back to the auto-follow camera. Often times in this game you are killed by something that occurs off-screen (arrow trap, leaping scorpion, Thwomps).
Minecraft: AoE tools/AoE placement of blocks. Nuff said.
Skyrim: Remove that stupid kill-cam that takes control away from you and slows the pace of the game. V.A.T.S. was fun because the PLAYER had control over when they wanted to use it. Skyrim's kill-cam is randomly occuring.
Guild Wars 2: Make the game less punishing. I stopped playing before I even got to level 10, because I died so much.
Dark Souls: Oh. Shit. Can't improve this game because it's pretty much perfect.
MMORPGs in General, but also specifically WoW: Stop forcing me to pick only 2 professions. Geezus. I get it, you don't want uber-duber hardcores controlling the 'markets', but that happens ANYWAY, because those players are fucking HARDCORE. You can't stop them. If they want 1,000,000 gold, they'll have it. In a week. Let us play around with all of the professions so we can make our own shit. The people who would be fine dumping gold for stuff (for whatever reason, lack of time etc.) will still do just that.
I could probably do this with all of my beloved games. But I'll stop here.
edit: By the way, I realize Dark Souls is right below my GW2 punishing sentence, and that may seem hypocritical. It would, if I considered Dark Souls to be punishing, which I don't.
