An officer steps inside and looks at the pool of blood.

"Mike! We lost another one!"

[small]"Goddammit! Why do I always have to clean up?!"[/small]

"You still owe me fifty boonbucks, now get your ass in here!"

You respawn by the corvette.

 

[Saltarius]

"Can you pull up any and all records on a woman named 'Sister'?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

Your teeth bite through your tongue. You die from blood loss.

You respawn by the corvette.

"Right. Time to rescue Knife. With Plan B."
I put on a fake moustache, smash the fuck out of one side of the handcuffs, put the other side on my wrist and call the police.

 

[RaNDM G]

"When you're fully processed and licensed, you can make a request to Mike up front. He's in charge of that sort of thing-"

"Goddammit! Why do I always have to clean up?!"

[Saltarius]

"So where do I start?"

 

[RaNDM G]

"Local drug syndicate called los muertos trío. The Dead Three. They've been harassing local businesses for about a month. They're new here, but we like to keep them from hitting upper city streets."

He tosses you a badge.

"Welcome to the force. That guy you came in with, Knife. He a friend of yours?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I pour some blood on my face and run to the police station.

 

[Saltarius]

"Used to be an enemy when I ran as...you know who on Gashog. We're cool now. He's a better man than me, so you should have no trouble releasing him."

I slip the badge in my pocket.

"Now, give em as much info as you can on this here Trio."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I stagger into the police station and collapse.

 

[Sigma Castell]

"Yeah, just arrived. Shuttle got held up."

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I crawl over to Sigma.
"Help. Meeee."

 

[Sigma Castell]

Ilook down at Trilby.
"Dafuq haapened to you?"
I give him a hand up and inject some health into him.

 

[Sigma Castell]

I fall asleep.

 

[ShindoL Shill]

I stand up and catch Sigma as he falls asleep.
"I'll just take this guy into the break room. Uh, I'm... Adam. We we supposed to transfer together, but there was an incident... involving an international gang of thieves. And arsonists. They have this guy who shoves his victims' heads into a blender and makes smoothies out of them. I watched my partner's head turn into goop. I barely got out alive." I say, half-lying.

I take Sigma up to the break room.

 

[Saltarius]

"Alright, I've got a plan. I'm going to fake my resurfacing as...Spades. Get me some gangsterish garb and I'll see if I can't infiltrate them."

 

[Knife-28]

Knife paces the up and down the lenght of his cell, gingerly rubbing the spot where Trilby bit him. "So, how long am I going to be kept here?"
Meanwhile, I search the corvette for an armory.

 

[RaNDM G]

"Infiltrate them? No, they only work in three. They'll never let a fourth man in."

He hands you a warrant with their mugshots.

"Marlon Sanchez. Luis Rojas. Jorge Castillano."

The detective hands you your gun.

"Walk the beat. Ask the store managers. Find out who's been shaked down. We want these guys in jail, not dead."

He leaves. You're free to go.

The detective walks into Knife's cell.

"I'm willing to cut you a deal."

He sits on the bench opposite Knife.

"We hear you're partners with Crane. He just took up lifetime community service. We can do the same for you, get you out now. Are you interested?"

 

[Knife-28]

"What's the alternative?" Knife asks.
Meanwhile, I continue my search for the corvette's armory.

 

[RaNDM G]

"You go through the process of trial. Unfortunately, that means you will be sitting pretty in a cell for ten years before you even see a judge. If you want a trial by jury, hell, you might as well call it a life sentence."

 

[Knife-28]

"A life sentence? Ok yes, I didn't have the resignation papers for the corvette, but that's the sort of thing you throw a heft fine and maybe some community service on, not a bloody life sentence!"
