"You look scary."

 

[Saltarius]

"Hence why I've been reluctant to reveal myself until now. I felt it necessary we interact."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Ooh, for what purpose?"

 

[Saltarius]

"My work here doesn't require much social interaction."

I shoot myself in the head, then respawn next to Alister.
I snap his neck.
"Who was that guy?"

 

[Saltarius]

Alister slowly emerges from a floor tile.

"A worker."

 

[Paddy the Second]

"Oh like the janitor?"

 

[Saltarius]

"...Essentially. I mean, did you think these stores 'magically' restocked themselves?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"No, I thought they restocked themselves through the respawn matrix."

 

[Saltarius]

"They reappear through it, yes. But I'm the one who has to put them back. Thankless work, I tell you."

I slowly begin to sneak off.

Alister wordlessly slips back under the tiles.

 

[Paddy the Second]

"I feel really bad now. I'm sorry Alister please forgive me I'm not very good with names."

"See ya later, Andrew." I say to the tiles. I look up at Paddy. "He was nice."

A hand removes the tile and places some chocolates at Paddy's feet.
