I wonder why this guy is being singled out.
In fact, if corporations knew who every forum user was, you can bet your ass there'd be far more of these. Libel, et cetera, really tend to piss people off; when it's their dead kid, they want blood.
well even in the US Free speech has an exception for libel, slander, and threats.Plazmatic said:wouldn't happen in the united states. I guess I forgot to mention that those people are also hypocrites. But it doesn't matter. You keep twisting my words anyway to suit your point of view. I'm not even gonna bother any more.BloatedGuppy said:I think I've got it now.
The problem isn't psychologically torturing the bereaved, it's the people who think we should be above that sort of behavior. And the reason WHY is media sensationalism. About terrorists. Is that...is that right?
Harassment laws are just and fair. Being harassed and maliciously targeted over 2 solid years about the death of your daughter is not only harassment, its just freaking evil. That said he was only tried for harassment and malicious communications. But i think thats fine. Since when did this become ok? When did harassment become ok?! Over such a long period of time? When did slander become ok? People seem to dislike these laws until they protect them.MaxwellEdison said:He's a dick, the state is a bigger dick.
Harassment. Say it with me people. Harassment. Its against the law. If someone harassed you im sure you would turn to authorities after TWO GODDAM YEARS. Its a good law and everyone should love it.BlackWidower said:"We're all offended, all the time, and we don't have a fucking right not to be offended." - Penn Jillette
I'm offended by every church I see in town. There's a billboard next to a nearby grocery store that says global warming is actually a warning by god of the apocalypse. That offends me. But to shut it down and arrest the guy who did it is morally wrong.
Here's an idea. All these memorial sites, if someone is posting offensive messages on there, block them and erase what they wrote. That's not hard, and it's your site.
Sweet. Two years of threatening letters and emails ahoy! Thats perfectly fine right? Jesus people has NO ONE heard of harassment? Its totally illegal. Rightly so. I cant annoy you over and over and over again for two years. Especially about dead relatives. Its why we can get restraining orders on people who wont leave us alone. And thats a fair systemduncants said:Wtf? seriously he has been arrested for being a dick? I actually think the Natasha wasn't bullied, she was just a whore pretty funny, I lol'd.... a lot, should I go to jail as well?
Bottom line is, writing things does not harm anyone. Yes it probably made the family feel like shit and the guy is a huge ****, that is why he doesn't have any friends. Society has another way of punishing him. Pussies.
Because this guy breached the terms of both the Malicious Communications Act and the Computer Misuse Act. Though on top of that he was just being a bigger **** than the others.Mace Tulio said:Countless people write slanderous things on memorial pages to try and cause distress, this is the internet.

THANK YOU. So often the people who get punished are the people who are being responsible and behaving in reasonable and intelligent ways. Then some screwball comes along, is irresponsible, and ruins a legitimate thing for everyone else. Take California's SB798 or office uniforms (those are the only two I could come up with off the top of my head.)Vidi Kitty said:I like free speech and all, but defending this is along the lines of "I have the right to own a gun, and guns shoot things, so who can blame me when I shoot someone?"
I am both pro free speech and pro guns in a not crazy way, but grotesque abuse of any right should come with some sort of punishment. Let him say all his hate full crap, then make him regret trying to trash peoples lives for sport.
Buddy, you're the one who keeps going off with bizarre non-sequiturs about media sensationalism and terrorists. I'm sorry if it comes across like I'm "twisting your words", because the real problem is I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say.Adam Jensen said:I guess I forgot to mention that those people are also hypocrites. We'll I was about to say you beat me to the punch, but than noticed you did it to mock him.Ruwrak said:The only response possible is the following.

Oh, and the jailed people will take care of him. IF there is one thing prisoners really dislike, it's people who do something to children.
Edit: Let it be clear that I disaprove of the actions the person did. The above comment is ment to be mocking in his direction, not towards the others in the articles. I -do- respect the dead.
Thank god Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller has weighed in on the subject of people being offended. What does he have to say about people being harassed? Because the kid didn't get convicted for offending people.BlackWidower said:"We're all offended, all the time, and we don't have a fucking right not to be offended." - Penn Jillette
