I'm definetly against child abuse of any kind and I'm sorry for Moira Grayland's suffering.
On the other hand, during wiki-surfing the people involved, I've found out that NAMBLA is a real thing, not just something made up for an episode of South Park. Americans, why you so crazy?
I just googled it and my reaction was simply ಠ_ಠ

how the fuck is something like that allowed to exist?

wtf america, just wtf

Interesting, we could at least consider MZB someone who aides and abets these kind of activities. That doesn't make her guilty per se, but it does lend more credence to the daughter's statements. Still, this could just as easily be a foolish defense of someone MZB loved. Got any evidence that would put MZB in question? Good stuff and links.
Well, MZB never implicates herself in any activity of her own (as opposed to Walter's actions) as far as I am aware so other than the statements by Moira now and Lisa then I am not aware of other claims/evidence.
Well, assuming guilt by association is generally considered to be an unethical way to convict individuals for things they may not have done themselves.

Having never read this author's books, I should ask if this is particularly popular amongst children and if it would have given her an unusual amount of access to young children?

Wait... what? I thought it was a South Park joke... Creepy. Was it created as a joke in response to that episode (please let that be it). I'm not going to google it at work...

As I mentioned, 50% of the times a celebrity is accused of doing something horrible, it turns out being not true.
It's not usually the children of the celebrities making the accusations. True, the daughter is likely carrying some significant baggage with even just the father she had and true there is money to be had from the mother if there's any greed intention here. But without some internal family catalyst then this is likely the most legitimate kind of source we can find. I'm erring on the side of extreme suspicion against the mother at the moment pending more formal review. Still can be swayed in either direction with appropriate information but with this many years removed I doubt we can ever have that justification short of a confession or the coming for of other youths impacted by her.
