Its the only real benefit for a man to enter a marriage. Its the way the world works.
A comedian (I think Tim Allen) said.. In life if your a woman you have the choice of to go to school, or to get a job, or have kids, Become a housewife and not work at all, or any combination there in. Men, have two choices. Go to work or go to jail. So given that men inevitably will end up having to take care of the responsibilities of their existence, because society demands it, then theres not a lot of things left in a relationship that a woman will do, that a man wont be expected to do anyway.
Now that was a sweeping generalization, without question. But I think you can see why this question really depends on what side your on. If you have options, it might not be as important to you. If you dont have options, its usually the only thing left that you cant (exactly) do for yourself.
So knowing it going into a relationship. No... I wouldnt. However all too often even the best relationships can degrade down to a sexless relationship over a long period of time. That makes the argument of "should I stay or should I go?" a more difficult one.
Now... as for what was said in the OP... The mention of oral gratification. In most ways thats more than a fair compromise. However, I am thinking if a person was not physically capable of having sex, then other forms of gratis would likely be just as limited.
