I'm not too bothered, but I worry what with there having already been two Spideys in the last 15 years. Like, I want there to be a Spider-Man involvement in MCU, but at the same time, I really wouldn't lose any sleep at this point if Pete stayed off our screen for a while. Keep in mind that the classic Spider-Man remains one of my favourite superheroes. It's more about...well, I don't know that we're going to see anything new.TheNaut131 said:Truthfully tho, I'm actually not THAT bothered with another Peter Parker movie. I get why, he's a household name, etc. It's just kinda weird that he's starting him out in a movie that already seems pretty packed like Civil War and then having his trilogy start out. Plus just...tiring. Seriously, at this point all we could hope for is the 'best' version of this story but in reality it'll probably just be 'the one that actually matters'. Just kinda wanted something else.
That's not to say "oh hey, let's throw in Miles Morales," because I've read like two comics with him in them and barely know the character. I wasn't interested in his run initially because everything I'd seen come out of the Ultimate universe suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. And then I just never picked him up.
It is to say that I think a cooling off period would probably be best, especially since they just dropped the last franchise mid-run. On top of it already being 8 years since Spider-Man 3.
At the same time, I reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want to see him in the MCU.
I'll also add that I'm absolutely okay with reboots. I'm just not big on the frequency with which they're happening.
