Mass Effect 2 - Anyone else going nuts?

Eight days left. Is anyone else going nuts from the anticipation?

I just got a new rig, so I can play all the games with teh awesome graphix. I have a HEAP of games waiting to be finished - Dragon Age, GTA IV, Crysis, Dirt 2, Vampire : Bloodlines, but I still can't stop thinking about ME2.

When I shoot people in GTA IV, I keep thinking about how amazing the combat will be in ME2. When I watch a cutscene, I keep waiting for the dialogue wheel to pop up. When I talk to Morrigan or pick up a girlfriend in IV, I keep imagining how awesome the love/hate relationship between Shepard and Miranda will be.

I. Am. Clinically. Obsessed.


Every evening I'm going to go to the cinema or a party, or anything else that will keep my mind occupied, otherwise I will go mad.

I wasn't. Then I went back and started playing Mass Effect 1 again about a week ago.

OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD!

I now haven't been this pumped for a game for almost a year. Just watching the gameplay videos and comparing it to the original game...It's unbelievable. If they'd fixed a couple of problems with Mass Effect it would be my favourite RPG. Looks to me like ME2 fixes all the problems then adds a thick layer of creamy awesomeness on top.

So yeah, can't wait.

It's going to be awesome; no two ways about it. It's going to knock my socks off. It's apparent that they've improved on so much, and I pre-ordered the Collector's Edition (there's no way I wouldn't), so I get extra goodness.

The excitement is palpable.

You know what sucks the most? My local retailer only gets Mass Effect 2 ONE FUCKING MONTH after it's been released every-fucking-where. Oh well, that's what Steam's for. I would give anything for an actual copy of it though...
