That is by far the best way to describe how I feel too. I've been waiting for this game since I finished my first playthrough of Mass Effect sometime back in 2007. The anticipation is killing me. I want this game more then anything else.

I just got a new rig, so I can play all the games with teh awesome graphix. I have a HEAP of games waiting to be finished - Dragon Age, GTA IV, Crysis, Dirt 2, Vampire : Bloodlines, but I still can't stop thinking about ME2.

When I shoot people in GTA IV, I keep thinking about how amazing the combat will be in ME2. When I watch a cutscene, I keep waiting for the dialogue wheel to pop up. When I talk to Morrigan or pick up a girlfriend in IV, I keep imagining how awesome the love/hate relationship between Shepard and Miranda will be.

Every evening I'm going to go to the cinema or a party, or anything else that will keep my mind occupied, otherwise I will go mad.

I just cant wait for you to buy it and when you start it your xbox red rings! It would be fucking hillarious to see you go through withdrawal..

Seems a little bit harsh to say a game is going to be rubbish because the box art is rubbish, surely? Not that I disagree with you or anything (with the box art I mean), the first game had a much better box art, if only because it conveyed the real feel of the game.

I'm really hyped about this game, I booked the day off and "conveniently" booked a dentist appointment early morning on the 29th (yes, sucks to be British this time around). It looks so much better than the first game, and I loved the first game regardless of it's flaws.

Yep, I've played through Dragon Age twice and Mass Effect once (6th playthrough on it so far). Only a few games a year really interest me, so when they come around the anticipation is unbearable.

i have yet to beat the first one and i played it for 3 days and have yet wanted to play it since.

pretty much this.
i think i sunk about 15 hours into it over three long days, then i just felt the story wasn't pulling me in enough.
when told to go to three planets to find random people or whatever... i don't know it just feels pointless. it doesn't have the storytelling that was so superb in KOTOR and i don't care about any of the characters, i don't feel like i have to follow a set path and whilst i want to go back to it to be able to finish the story, the pull was less then the one i got from torchlight.
and yeah, whilst long conversations with multiple endings are great and all, if i wanted a film, i'd watch a film.

I believe it could well be the best game of our generation (much to the anger of many Escapists)
