Not going crazy. Didn't beat the first one until this weekend lol! I am stoked tho, but the wait will allow me to get my character closer to 60 (or maybe even 60, tho my friend says that took him over 3 playthrus :O )

Even though I know my party is always going to be Garrus and Tali because I don't trust anyone else (Yet), and I need to complete my ME1 Adept playthough, I am fucking psyched. I just can't even come to grips with this yet, it's so SOON!

I just hope the Blood Dragon armor has some kind of "Would you like the Light, Medium, or Heavy set?" thing so that I can haz.

I'm going crazy nuts waiting for this game. Mass Effect is one of my favourite Xbox 360 games ever. I'm definitely going to import my save game from the first game and will continue to play through as a Vanguard.

I think I have 10 days to go here. I believe it comes out on the 28th here in Oz. Anyone able to confirm this?

I'm very cynical about it. So far, the trailers are only "Here's another killing machine that will fight for you...Enjoy".

I want some story guys.
There are a ton of info videos out talking about more than just your squadmates. Besides the trailers are meant to hook people who've never played Mass Effect (as people who played the first and liked it are already sold) and presenting the characters in a more "Bad ass Shooter light".

but yeah, watch more than just trailers, they're skewed and not meant to be previews anyhow

OT: Excited? Most definitely, I did another play through just to make sure I did everything the way I want it. The thing that makes me the most hopeful for this is that they have actually listened to people's complaints and improved upon them. Everything I specifically didn't like in the first has either been fixed or improved.

Also, fish tanks in Shepard's quarters? Genius.

Agreed, I think the Warrior class in Dragon Age is the least interesting (this coming from someone who prefers to be a Soldier in ME), so Allistair and Oghren ended up donning the Blood Dragon Armor in my two plays.

In ME2 armour is armour, there's no classifications.

I've read a few reasons why people care so little about the game, and whilst I can't see why people would dislike a game which has got brilliant reviews (the magazine I get gave it a perfect score and rank it in their top five games of all time), I can see that not every hyped game is everyone's cup of tea (I, for example, hate God of War and think of it as a shoddy Devil May Cry knock off without guns). Each to their own but I have seen a few of the same reasons crop up so I thought I'd pop in a few reasons why I can and can't agree with each one.

The characters look like uninteresting and purely there to kill.
I can see your point... I've watched the character trailers over and over, yes Grunt is just "kill everything in sight", Subject Zero is "I will do whatever the f*** I like and kill whoever the f*** I like" and Thane is an assassin that's there because all he does is kill. It's not a great introduction to the characters and isn't really pulling, and companions are what have been a massive draw for Bioware games in the past.

On the otherhand... Those who have played the first game will know that Garrus and Tali are not just psychopaths and killing machines, Tali is a skilled mechanist and Garrus is a law enforcerer who does things for the greater good. There have also been a lot of reports that Jacob is fairly level headed too. In any case, there are another couple of reasons this doesn't bother me personally. Firstly, Bioware characters almost always have a deeper background than their first impression leads to believe and I reckon you need to delve deeper into these pasts in order to gain loyalty, and secondly, Shepard has no friends or allies, he's going for a suicide mission, does he really have much of a choice in the matter?

I didn't like the first game.
I can see your point... I can understand this, even though I loved it to pieces. The side missions were boring, the elevator scenes are loooooong and the combat could have been better than it was. It was cinematic but not as cinematic as it could have been and you never really had a constant sense of where you were in the story (you're chasing the main baddy but you can go off and do a billion side quests?). Plus I can't criticise because I hated God of War 1 (see previously) and it put me right off the others. They may have been better, but who knows. Also, I suppose it's nice to play a continuing storyline right from the off.

On the otherhand... Bioware are a rare company. They listen to their criticisms. Every side quest is apparently less gruelling and always linked to the story some how, elevator scenes are gone, combat looks vastly improved and it looks like it's got a gorgeous cinematic feel. You can never judge a game by it's predecessor, but it doesn't always make a good first impression.

The story looks rubbish.
I can see your point... I have to admit it does look pretty clear sliced. "The collectors are coming, now we must go and do lots of side quests and then do a final run to stop them, yay!"

On the otherhand... Who knows how much Bioware is really telling us? They've told alot but they always hold important info from us, always. Makes me think there must be something huge they are keeping hidden. Prehaps there's more to the story, lots more. I'm keeping my views on this reserved until I witness it myself.

I don't like these kind of games.
I can see your point... Fair enough, not everyone likes the same thing.

On the otherhand... Nope, I got nothing on this one. It's your money, spend it how you like.
