does anyone else not like mass effect? i mean seriously i wanted to like the first one and i gave it a try for a few hours but i really didnt like anything about it. however i did love dragon age. but as for goty its a possibility but as for first quarter releases im hoping for bioshock 2

No you are not, I found it to be astonishingly average to put it nicely. I played through it twice (lost my save file on first play through) and gave it a damn thorough play through and fail to see how such a flawed game has gotten so damn popular. It was an okay game, my inner sci fi nerd kept me going as the main redeeming quality was the depth of the universe and the story was..well okay for the most part. Really I have so many problems with the game in every aspect that I actually hate the game and think it's really terrible, unfinished mess and claiming it's anything above average is giving it too much credit. ME2 looks like what the first game should have been and I remain hopeful that it's story will be a whole lot better and the gameplay looks better this time around. If it fails to live up to my reasonable expectations I'm giving up hope on this franchise, my love of sci fi and RPG's is the only thread holding together my interest for this, they better not fuck up a second time.

As for GOTY material...it's not even out yet and we are pondering it now? Getting a little ahead of ourselves here and just unnecessarily hyping up the game to unsatisfiable proportions from my view. In any case it probably will be nominated due to the absurd hype and fan base behind it, the game has potential which needs to be tapped into. In any case it's at least RPG of the year material from what I can see.

I have no idea, although for some reason I'm cautious about ME2, probably because I found the first one barely above average.

I'm putting my money on bad, real bad from what very little we have hear/seen in terms of trailers etc Im taking "cinematic gaming" to mean emphesis on graphics, sound and suffer everything else for it going to put good money on the possibility of it being as short as hell too.

I actually doubt it will be GOTY.

-1 there's sooo many big titles coming out this year
-2 its coming out sooo early in the year, that by the time the year is over, its forgotten and other games are fresh in our minds

But I do think it will rock :3
