Since imsure a lot of people know a lot about this game, I thought id ask. Do you think I should get the PC version or the PS3 Version?

Well, you finished it on PC, so why not continue on PC?
Plus, I personally just find PC controls better.

Is out for PS3 yet?
Continue on PC so you can take your Sheppard and choices forward into ME2.

Well the ps3 doesn't have any features that the Pc doesn't have either. + importing your savefile from mass effect 1 is a big deal.
Also you can control your companions alot better.
Wait i remember a drawback. Changing weapons takes a longer time since they removed hotkeys for weapons in an attempt to consolize the controls but i don't think you'll switch weapons much faster on the ps3

This.

Once you've started the series on a particular platform, it's best to finish it on that platform. Personally I prefer console controls to PC controls, which is one of the reasons I play my copy of Mass Effect 2 on the Xbox 360 (really, the controls you prefer is all down to which platform you were raised on). But if you've already got it on PC, and completed it, then you should stay loyal to PC.

What? OK, that just sucks. I'm all for consoles, indeed I really like them, but why the hell did they remove one of the main advantages of the PC from the game? Did they think the console market might suddenly convert to PCs and be flummoxed by the amount of extra buttons? Were they just lazy?

One of the main selling points and awesomeness of Mass Effect is that can continue your personal Shepard story. So PC all the way.

Although a bit annoying at first, I never felt the absence of weapon hotkeys were an issue since I bring up the command menu so often anyway. Also the F1-F12 keys aren't the best to have hotkeys bonded to them.

To all the nice people that quoted me:
The problem is that the new system for changing weapons is really cumbersome.
You open the overlay, have to click on the weapon icon.
And then the game loads for 2 to 3 seconds and the select weapon menu opens.
As a vanguard i usually just need to bring out my shotgun for a secoond or so so it gets really annoying.
Switching weapons in the Ps3 version is alot faster.
But thats such a small thing.
Just wanted to give a balanced view^^
All the additional companion features still make the pc version the best one imo

Here's another reason to stay on the PC: Savegame-edit yourself all those annoying minerals so you don't have to deal with that fucking mining minigame.

well, okay, importing your ME1-save is a much better reason. But still...

You finished it on the PC which means you've got a saved game with all your decisions on that hard drive. If you play Mass Effect 2 on the PC not only will you be able to transfer your save file and basically personalize your game but you'll also not be as bugged by those annoying minigames.

The OP already made his mind up but this is for the benefit of anyone else in this situation.

If you already had Mass Effect 1 on any console (Xbox or PC) then get Mass Effect 2 on the same console (it really enriches the experience).

Seeing as Mass Effect 1 isn't avaliable on the PS3 I would advise against getting ME2 for it, there's honestly no point.

I've only played the first one so far (waiting for either some sort of complete/ultimate/GOTY edition with all the DLC/bonus stuff included and/or a cheap enough sale), but that sounds pretty ghetto. Is there just no default keybinding for it, or is there not even any way to set one by editing the config files? You can usually do a lot of wacky stuff with UE3 games that way, but I guess that would only work if they included an action for that that just isn't bound to anything.

Something taht no one else mentioned.

If you purchase it new on PC, you get the Cerberus NEtwork DLC in addition to being allowed to import your save file, which includes a new character (Zaeed) and some other fun stuff.

(Yes, you probably get the Cerberus Network stuff on PS3 too, but it's way easier accessing it on the PC).

You can just drag the weapons to the click slots and use the 1-10 keys to change weapons..just saying.
