You finished ME1 on PC and you can't decide between PC and PS3 version? Are you mad? You do know that PC allows you to import your previous save game from ME1, right? Also the game just plays better on PC.

The problem is that the new system for changing weapons is really cumbersome.
You open the overlay, have to click on the weapon icon.
And then the game loads for 2 to 3 seconds and the select weapon menu opens.
As a vanguard i usually just need to bring out my shotgun for a secoond or so so it gets really annoying.
Switching weapons in the Ps3 version is alot faster.
But thats such a small thing.
Just wanted to give a balanced view^^
All the additional companion features still make the pc version the best one imo
You can just drag the weapons to the click slots and use the 1-10 keys to change weapons..just saying.
Or even better, use the mousewheel to cycle between weapons (don't know if that requires altering the keybinds (you might want to alter the keybinds anyway, because they're completely backwards compared to ME)). Just because weapons aren't automatically bound to a key doesn't mean you have to bring up the power wheel every time you want to switch.

If that was possible i would have done so. But sadly you can't drag weapons to the quick bar.
I in fact just tried it.
Even if you could, there are only 10 slots available, half of which would be taken up by weapons.
Cycling through weapons takes along time, since shepard draws and readys every weapon before you can cycle to the next one.
Takes up to 8 seconds while being shot at if the rocket launcher is between the weapon you have and the one that you want.

man, i swear you created this thread just to taunt my recent purchase of mass effect and my pc's inability to run it. but how did you know?!

since you dont seem to have this issue, definitely stick with pc. i mean, you got your save file and whatnot. unless of course, you're a trophy whore like me.

When in doubt, PC. PC can do things that consoles just can't. PC games can have things like mods, community patches, consoles, that sort of thing. You have a lot more control over the mechanical bits of the game, also, keyboard and mouse are more precise for controls, especially in shooters.

If you take nothing else from this, take this. ALWAYS get the PC version. My friend bought the 360 verson of Fallout: New Vegas, and I bought the PC version. He has thrown out his disk in frustration with bugs, whereas I have downloaded community fixes, tweaked settings and enjoy a relatively bug free experience.

I wish I could play it on the pc but my masseffect 1 saves are on my 360 so Im kinda stuck with that system for the series
Same here.

Damn me for my early adoption of ME1. Damn me to hell!
I would have got me1 for the pc but the early editions of it had really horrible drm on them so I ended up waiting till the game was only 20 bucks used to get it on the 360

If you can't carry over your Mass Effect save to Mass Effect 2 (which you won't be able to on the PS3 and can on the PC), it will make it a much less personal experience. They'll make Udina ambassador. Ew. So PC for that reason.
