Wrex is out? That sucks. Garrus and Wrex were my faves from the first game.

I guess I can tell why Wrex is out...
since there's a chance he was killed off in the first game.
And the same goes for Ashley or Kaiden, but I was hoping Bioware was willing to produce a lot of content for them anyway.

I hope they're not planning on having Tali as a love interest. I sort of liked that there was a platonic female on the team.

Eh, I don't care. Give me Thane/Legion unless Garrus becomes a party member instead of a subquest cameo, then it'll be Thane/Garrus.

Never liked Tali. Hell, never liked any of the "pures".

Tali is a better engineer then you can ever build the main character to be, at least on your first play through. Her Quarian Machinist skillset makes her a tank and is a huge boost to her other engineer powers. When you max that out first she becomes the best handywoman in the game. I can almost repair the Mako to full health. And the way I play it gets damaged alot.

Maybe it's just me being wierd and playing a charismatic soldier, but I never lost Wrex. I gave up Kaidan because I think all multiclasses are gimped, but I think on my next playthrough i'll stick to the mission and save the nuke/Kaiden (there's no IC inclination beforehand that she can't protect herself anyway, even if I know it oocly). Asian Shepard is, if nothing else, all about the mission (yes, I made an Asian Shepard named Sun).

Shame to loose Wrex, I found his angry nobility charming, and those Scars were badass.

Im' banking on him being recruitable, only because they've said that "some old squadmates" will return; Liara, Ashley, Kaiden, and Wrex are out, so Tali and Garrus may be recruitable.
Wait, Ashley, Kaiden and Liara are all out? Do you have a source on that? It makes completely no sense for one of the first two to not make a cameo given that they are really selling the whole "your choices matter" point.

Well, they are all still in the game, depending on your choices, but Shepard is going on a suicide mission, so he won't want to take his love interest along.

Probably for revealing something she isn't supposed to about the floatilla or the geth. Very likely the geth.

Unless they get killed off early on to give you more motivation. It'd be shitty, but very biowaresque.

No, it's going to be just some conversations with them, maybe communication with them throughout the game. But I don't expect that they'll die; that's the point.

Just a random question about Mass Effect 2: are there any new friendly alien races in the game? Or old friendly alien races getting a larger role? Seems like the new aliens always want to kill you.
Thane's race of lemonheads, and a Geth. Good enough?

Citrus Bazooka? oO

Seriously, though, I was hoping for more varied enemies and NPC races than distinctly friendly races. I'd like to see some species of aliens around the Citadel (or whatever) that are hardly even mentioned, Star Wars style.

Christ, finally someone who WON'T shoot first and ask questions later. I know for a fact that I won't stand for Subject Zero on MY ship. Wrex is the most violent person I'd allow willingly.

And he had a sense of honour.

I wonder if the writers of video games in general realise that there's a fine line between 'cool badass' and 'fucking psycho'.

That's one thing I liked about Tali; she was proof that you can have a nice, good-inclined female character who isn't a pushover or a humourless buzzkill. In a large way, the most different characters on the ship actually turned out to be the most down-to-earth. Ensemble Darkhorses for the win.

You speak the truth. Tali was a fantastic female character... passionate and strong without being a cliched aggressive *****.

Anyone have any idea what Quarians look like?

Probably hot. Just a guess.
A hot alien in Mass Effect? Where do you get these crazy ideas?

So my party will be Tali, Wrex and myself again?

Cool. If its anything like ME1, I won't have to do any fighting.

What, you didn't think the Volus were the definition of sexy?

Seriously though, I really do wonder what Quarians looks like. I'd like them to be something more interesting than just humans with an abnormal skin tone.

To be honest, Bring Down The Sky is totally worth it if only for the ability to choose Quarian Armor at the end as a reward.

Shit be rarer than uranium.

I also saved Wrex. Max charisma for the win. I wouldn't say multiclasses are gimped though: Vanguard is INSANELY tough/deadly.

I have yet to play as a Tech class (because the ability to only hurt machines seemed silly), though I'm gonna have to eventually (MUST HAVE ACHIEVEMENTS.)
