Seems we might not be playing Shepard after all, thank god. I hate starting a game with an already godlike character. Also, here's hoping we'll get to play a non-human character this time around...

I'm angry. I poured 50 hours into getting my character where she is now, and then Bioware tells me "Guess what, John?" so I say "What?" and then they respond with "YOUR CHARACTER DIES! HA HA HA HA HA!"

That is the last time I pour +50 hours into one single character.

First of all, hasn't BioWare confirmed that you will be carrying over your character from Mass Effect 1?

Second, I'm excited for this game, but after seeing the last one, I'll be renting. I was superexcited for it and even bought the prequel novel, which I thought was okay if a bit simplistic.

Anyway, I got lucky last time around with this game since I got a free copy, but the game just didn't do it for me. It suffers from NECSTF (Not Enough Cool Shit To Find) Syndrome.

Dosn't seem to alude to the story of the game too much, or the gameplay for that matter.

But it looks really awesome none-the-less, I will be sure to buy it when it comes out.

Really? Well I dunno but here in Ireland we use it as an expression to describe when we feel great pleasure or joy from something...

As for the carrying your character over, I hope they don't do it.

By the time you hit the level cap in ME1, you are way too powerful. There's not much room for further growth besides letting you max out all your skill lines. Transfering characters worked in BG1->BG2 since by the end of BG1 you had a mid-level char, not a max level god.

Also, as I said, I hope we get to play a non-human this time around.

Idea! Wouldn't it be awesome if you CAN import Shepard, only he's a party member who joins you during the game, but he's got the stats of your old character?

ya i thought they said your saves would carry over, so it would make sense that your still shephard

i think that in the second mass effect they wont have commmander shepard being dead because then all the things to do with him getting prothean knowledge from teh beacon on edan prime will be pointless because it hasnt yet been discovered in the game what it all meant and if they had him killed then a big section of the first game would ahve been pointless

yeh i think that this sounds like it would be quite a good way for them to start the game and that the geth is wearing armor with is bloood on in the video becasue he was injured or somethinga nd the geth stole all of his weapons and abilities which will be a good reason for them to reset your character stats
