It's not cheating if you're not dating. As far as I know, it was just Shepard and Liara / Ashley having sex. There's no couple status.
I romanced Liara for my main Shep in ME1, so far it seems that Male sheps have Sub Zero (Fuck Off.), Miranda 
P) and possibly Samara (Not sure...). Tali might be a romance option, who knows.

Whoa wait, on the Mass Effect Wiki it says you could be with Liara regardless of gender? That would have been the best 5 second sex scene ever if I had chosen a girl!

No one to cheat on Tali was the only remotley interesting of the three to me (I like foreign accents so sue me)though I suspect Kaiden was really gay those akward moments when shep walked up to him and they both looked longingly where rather indicative.

I've not really kept abreast of the new guys in Mass Effect 2. I'm trying to leave as much for me to discover on my own as possible. All I know of Subject Zero is that she's "that tatooed woman", I think...Thane is the lemon alien? He's meant to be a bodyguard or something?Redem said:

Ah, and I've seen the Illusive Man as well. But that's pretty much it and that's how I'd like to keep it. The less I know about the story, the new characters and everything else the better. I'm going to play this one as blind as I can.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see behind Tali's mask. There seems to be a wierd obsession with Tali on the internet. I think its more to do with how unattractive the love interests are rather than any of Tali's charms.
