It looks awesome, also, look out for the bearded dude in the video, he's made of win.

I am hoping that there will be a lot more side-quests this time around, not to mention planets to explore.

Remember this?: "Casey Hudson has therefore recommended keeping saved games from the original Mass Effect."

They were not kidding when they said that the models were far improved. I think I'm falling in love with Wrex all over again. XD

Outstanding. It looks like we are going to get some new weapons, which was really my only complaint with the first one.

The background at 1:38 is what I am assuming/hoping is the inside of a Reaper.

Can't even describe how great this sequel looks. I thought the original was kind of dark, so I'm interested to see where they take this one.

Seeing this takes away some of the disappointment of not getting KOTOR 3. Mass Effect 2 already looks incredible.

I'm about to speak some heresy here, but at this point the Mass Effect universe is more interesting to me than Star Wars.

I just hope they keep the weird electronic music and don't go too orchestral with the score

I loved the first one and I'm happy to hear that they are keeping the story dark and that the players you kill off won't be back. It looks like it will be an amazing game.

Looks awesome. I'm a huge fan of Bioware, and I have absolute confidence that this game will be great. Looking forward to E3.

I'll hope that Bioware will fix the General Protection Fault issue until the release, so I can finish my savegame. I've completed the first game, but accidentally I started a new game and the new savegame file saved all over my old save file. I hate myself for doing that.

Looks freaking exciting.

Agree with both points. The first game had a much darker tone than the Star Wars universe, even with the idealism of your main character (presuming you play as paragon, of course). The story line seems to be a little more realistic, too, in terms of what kind of role humanity would play in a community like this. In Star Wars we were always people of great power, either as Jedi or Sith. In Mass Effect, we're met with distrust that's at the very least hinted at to be deserved. It features some really great metaphors about the nature of humanity, too, especially with regards to how they treat synthetics. The English major in me could very well be reading too deep into the universe, but it's open to such interpretation and that's what I like about it. I feel like I'm taking part of some great epic story instead of just playing a game.

Everything I see about this sequel has me excited. I liked the models from the first game and thought they were very cinematic and a big improvement on what a lot of games give us *cough* Oblivion *cough* But the new models look really dynamic. It looks like they put a lot of care into the facial muscles, making the expressions that much more realistic. And the interior/exteriors are just beautiful. Can't wait to play it!

It's pretty close, though it's hard to match the awesomeness of Jedi, especially with the level of power they're given in Force Unleashed. I think the issue is ME doesn't have 6 major (and 3 good) blockbuster movies and a 30 year old fanbase.

Mass Effect is one of the few games that could feasibly transfer to the film medium however.

This ladies and gentlemen, is why I regard Bioware as the best RPG developer. Now if you excuse me I have to go change my underwear.

EDIT:

At the end? To me that looked like the Normandy. A very heavily damaged Normandy.

At least Mass Effect hasn't had any prequels.

I am liking the look of this, my excitement level for ME2 has just increased quite drastically.

The combat certainly looks much more intense (were those armoured Varren we say there?) this time around. Plus, if that wasn't Shepard putting in an appearance at the end of the clip....

Yep, Bioware really made a heck of a Universe.
