Don't worry, I bet you the Biodrones would find something bad about this new ending too, they are never satisfied.JoesshittyOs said:B-but... What do we complain about now?
the fact that the ending will STILL be shit.JoesshittyOs said:B-but... What do we complain about now?

Well shit, what do you guys think?REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BioWare, a Label of Electronic Arts Inc. announced Mass Effect? 3: Extended Cut, a downloadable content pack that will expand upon the events at the end of the critically acclaimed Action RPG. Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes. Coming this summer, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be available for download on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC for no extra charge*.
?We are all incredibly proud of Mass Effect 3 and the work done by Casey Hudson and team,? said Dr. Ray Muzyka, Co-Founder of BioWare and General Manager of EA?s BioWare Label. ?Since launch, we have had time to listen to the feedback from our most passionate fans and we are responding. With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team?s artistic vision for the end of this story arc in the Mass Effect universe.?
Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series added, ?We have reprioritized our post-launch development efforts to provide the fans who want more closure with even more context and clarity to the ending of the game, in a way that will feel more personalized for each player.?
In case you don't follow the link it explicitly states it will be free. EA giving out something for free... today's one of those rare sorts I presume.
actually them being killed is in the game if you have low EMS you see them bleeding in front of you after you get hit. Having High EMS shows random soldiers. Their still on the Normandy in the ending scene regardless.IamGamer41 said:I recall seeing some vids on YouTube of deleted scenes the ME 3 ending where some of your squad gets killed by Harbinger during the run to the conduit.I remember thinking man that would of been awesome.I mean sad that your team died but hell this was the be all end all war.People should have died and not just the ones who joined you for 5 min on the Normandy(yeah I know you can get others killed or they kill themselves through choices)
If some of that is added back and the cut dialog it would be cool.Hell I still want to know where the boss fight with Harbinger was.I mean that thing talked shit to you the whole of the second game, why the hell couldn't I shut him up in the third.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts. Although if they are just sticking in cut content, why not release it now? There's something fishy about a three-month-plus wait. Here's hoping something good gets pulled out of this.Yassen said:Kudos to them for making it free, but it's still a shame how this basically means this is the ending we're getting no matter what. As in, they're not going to scrap the whole thing or go with the indoctrination theory like I hoped.
As long as EA doesn't become as bad as Activsion or Ubisoft ill be happy.sabercrusader said:EA giving something out for free? And standing up for LGBT rights in the same day? Damn, maybe EA's turning around? Doubt it, but one can always hope.
Are you so dense and stupid that you miss the point entirely?asacatman said:So they make one mistake (the ending) and then FIX that mistake (at least partially) for NO COST TO YOU (and lots of work for animators and writers ect) and they can go fuck themselves. Wow...ok sorry, what was it you were saying about 'entitled whiny vocal fanboi minority'?boag said:I think this should have been announced the first week, not a full month after calling us entitled whiny vocal fanboi minority.Fappy said:Check it out. Bioware can go fuck itself and disappear for all I care now.
How the fuck is the ending ruined if they arent changing ANYTHING?viranimus said:Yes, its official, the precedent has been set and the ending will now be ruined.
Congratulations, The game, the players, the company, consumers are now worse off for this.
Other thought:
This for all the people who said that changing the ending would not be compromising artistic vision. This is straight from the horses mouth, they had to sacrifice their vision, in order to appease so many irrational people, If they had to strike a balance, they had to compromise the vision to make a balance for the players. With the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut we think we have struck a good balance in delivering the answers players are looking for while maintaining the team's artistic vision
But if nothing else, this is a good thing. The damage is now done, and at least this beast can be put to rest and people can shut the hell up about it. Im glad its over, even thought its the worst possible outcome. Oh well.
Watboag said:EDIT: Also please add Homophobe to the remark as well, because If I didnt like the ending and voted for them as the worst company, then I am obviously a homophobe.

Its probably just a DAO style epilouge that says stuff like
"And the Korgans cured of the genophage under the ideals set forth by wrex because peaceful and the Quarrians on the homeworld with their geth allies were able to rebuilt etc. etc."
I was bemoaning it. He was SO SURE that any follow-up was going to cost money.SajuukKhar said:Is that a trick question?lacktheknack said:Why is Zeel banned?
