Careful with this thread though guys. Bioware have sent a C+D letter to Neogaf for having a thread discussing it.
Bioware seems to be steadily turning into a company that I refuse to associate with and support.

Was it Bioware or EA though?

I still have faith in Bioware, but their unholy union with EA is concerning.

Keep in mind that the NeoGaf thread had pictures of the beta. That might have been the cause of the C&D.

God. Dammit. Why do people do this? Who wants know all the little details beforehand?

People posting about how unimpressed they are are not helping.

Why? Trying to prevent their story from being spoiled, especially after years of buildup and way too long into the development stage to be changed, seems rather justifiable.

Oh okay, this is from what I can gather:

One of the endings is Shepard living, while destroying/sending away the Reapers. The script however is obviously unfinished, and doesn't tell us what happens afterwords! Warning to you though, if your not careful, Ashley can turn against you or die. You most certainly won't get your happy ending in that case. Make sure you raise your Paragon or Renegade and don't cheat on her! Hope that helped :)

Trying to put a gag order on the whole thing though? Isn't that going a little too far?

When something is stolen, you try to get it back. This doesn't seem that much different.

Besides, think of the long-term ramifications. Every time even a little news on ME3 comes out now, in the comments section they'll be at least one asshole going "hey, I read the plot synopsis and it sucks, so it doesn't matter! Bioware died when they joined EA, herpy de derp".

It really does just seem better for everyone if all of this just disappears.

Nothing was stolen. The beta was legally downloaded when it was released by accident. Trying to stop people from talking about it is only going to make people angry. The damage is done, the only thing that they will damage now is their public image.

While, thats one mistake on my part. Still, I just don't see this as unreasonable. NOt every forum post is going to have the grace to spoiler tag every little detail. There are people (myself included) who don't want to know what happens, and given that this is the internet, they can't just wall off the people who do know from those who don't.
I suppose they could create some sort of designated spoiler zone on the forums or something, but Bioware playing damage control still doesn't seem like that its morally indefensible.

..Well, this is sure a hot pocket thread.

I read the Reaper designation spoiler box, and then stopped. I'm treating ME3 like I did ME2. As little foreknowledge as possible, and see the game (almost) completely fresh on March 6th, like it is meant to be.

Frankly, spoiler threads to this elaboration are counterproductive to the industry, and to the people whom make the game. Though I'm thinking so far, these spoilers are probably a narrow combination of both the rough and edited draft of the game's plot synopsis..

*raises hand* I do... I always have... I LOVE spoilers. I'm already processing this info and thinking up a game plan in my head as to how i'll tackle all this. And while i belive this is prolly a good outline of the whole story of ME3, i don't think it's everything. I think some secret ways will be present to handle situations differently then the outline, well, outlines. And now that it's all known, bioware may well try and change some stuff as well to try and keep it freash.

To be honest, all the info that bioware has been releasing lately about this game has only made me less and less intrested in the game. IT's focus on the combat, the addition of MP, ect, has done NOTHING for me at all, but, seeing that the game SEEMS to have ALOT of different content to run, in an eairly rough draft, gives me more hope.

Can't say i'm found of a few of the seeminly unavoidable deaths, but, eh... like i said, there might be a way to change that, there might not. We'll have to wait and see.

Fair enough. I can get the metagaming aspect of it,and while I never really lost faith in Bioware, I get why you would want to personally affirm the story's quality.

I kind of prefer to metagame during a replay, of which I will most likely have several billion, because it gives the whole thing this veneer of nostalgia. For me, knowing what will happen ruins the immersion somewhat.

To be honest, though, I'll probably get the game and have the ending spoiled by tvtropes before I actually finish it.

I starting reading this, and as soon as I got to the bit about what The Illusive Man (yes, he and Cerberus are in there, and no, I won't put that in spoilers, because them being in the game should be pretty obvious) ends up doing pretty much guaranteed that the plot will be bananas. Think ME2 was a pile of nonsensical, badly connected sci-fi goodness without rhyme or reason, wow, just wait until you see this masterpiece! I really hope these are just the early story outlines that got tossed out, or my stance that Bioware consistently writes horrible stories will once again be validated...
