Mass Effect 3 Trailer Confirms Earth is Screwed

Is it wrong that, on seeing that trailer, I got a surge of patriotic pride and immediately thought; "Those giant space-robot-Lovecraftianelderbeing-gods are raping my city."?

If there is a bit set in London, they had better not get the geography of the place wrong or I'm going to get pissed.

Doesn't anyone else find that weird? It's a planet extermination, and all they could do in a week is a few million out of several billion?

The Combine did better than the Reapers.

The only thing that's certain is that the reapers must have invaded on a sunday morning before everyone's recovery bacon sandwich, because if they'd have invaded on a friday or saturday night they would have been left in a gutter with thier heads kicked in and no wallet for spilling the nations pints.

I know I'll sound like a pedant here but the London Eye is being taken down either 2011 or 2012, I forget which. Surely that'd mean it definitely wouldn't be around in the Mass Effect universe

Anyhow I love the fact that there might be more characters in from American games (like the one in the advert) whose accents aren't complete stereotypes

I want to play this game now! I've never been a fan of Mass Effect, but games were earth comes under attack, now those i can get in on! There is something about this planet that, whenever it comes under threat (in real life, video games, movies, ect) just makes my spine tingle and makes me wanna fight.

The voice actor for the British sniper to me has to be Richard Armitage, considering what he sounds like and the British Secret Service clue Bioware revealed earlier this week (He's an actor in the British drama Spooks, which is about MI5)

god no, cause the game isnt actually set in earth, i say the end of it will be, but the whole idea of it is that shepard is out in the galaxy gathering all the alien races to fight for him...which will be preety dificult considering earth is hated by most of the aliens

one thing im wondering...what happened if your shepard died at the end of the 2nd one? also..im really hoping for some epic scene when ashly finds out i cheated on her with miranda...i just hope that we can get new companions in this one aswell, because it would be boring if we cant. and also, they better make more DLC for the 2nd one between now and then...i cant wait this long xD

ME2 perfectly ended. It shouldn't continue because it's going to ruin the story... Well for me.

well...you do understand that it would need to continue...considering that it ended on the biggest open ending ever? because it would be bad if they just stopped at 2, but i do agree that 2 ended perfectly. but i am 100% sure that this will be better than 1 and 2. ive come to trust bioware completely

Thanks Bioware for spoiling yet again what will happened in the later stages of the main mission.
No build up or anything just POW! REAPERS INVADING, GATHER PEOPLE TO PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE,
THEN FIND THE DEUS EX MACHINEMA AND WHIPE THEM OUT ( unless they go for the rumored dark energy plot line.).

Can't they just tell the what the early plot looks like instead?
Bah.Next they will start with the ridiculously spoiler fantastic trailers like they did for ME2.

Aliens invading Earth? How original.

Anyway I want to see when the council dismisses Earth telling them they are under attack from Reapers.

This trailer is very sexy, but I have to wonder how the hell you have a chance of beating the reapers. It took an entire fleet of human ships to kill one reaper, and before it died, it wiped out most of that fleet and the turian fleet. Even if all the species came together to fight the reapers, theres bloody loads of them, and they're much more powerful, especially considering the fact that the fleets are probably still rebuilding. And if the reapers are attacking other planets at the same time as earth, theres no way the species could unite, as they'd all be defending their planets.

I really don't want multiplayer in Mass Effect 3. All it will do is take away from the story. Even Co-op messes up a storyline.

I'm unfortunately very doubtful after seeing this trailer. Why? After the T-800 Reaper last time around, now it turns out they're giant mechs?! That's utterly ridiculous! And apparently the big scary Reaper army that will "darken the sky of every world" takes months to just wipe out earth...what?

I'm still looking forward to the game, but that looks stupid.
