And I'm calling it right now, that soldier will take over the Kaidan/Jacob role.
Good god I hope so. His voice. He also looks a bit more interesting.

I just used this same picture on the TES V announcment page, but it fits this just as well.

My reaction:
And that's my adorable quota for the day.

A few million in the first week?

Doesn't anyone else find that weird? It's a planet extermination, and all they could do in a week is a few million out of several billion?
The Combine did a way better job of being lethal.

All I can think about while looking at this trailer is "Where the hell is everyone else?" I mean unless you went excessively evil in the first two games earth should have some allies coming to help it. I can only guess that the Salarians, Turians, and Asari are having very similar problems with all of their worlds too. This more than likely means that one of the big moral choices in the game will be to either let earth or some other planet be destroyed.

On a side note, I reeeeeaaalllly can't wait to see what the council has to say about this after all that Reapers are a myth talk. Anyone with me there?

****MASS EFFECT 1 & 2 SPOILERS****

I'm amused how the Reapers' logic goes from "destroy all life in the galaxy with one, fell swoop" to "aww, screw it, let's just do the 'invade earth' thing."

Especially considering their "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em phase" in the middle.

It just seems like they're getting incrementally less competant.

****END SPOILERS****

That said, next year's Christmas can't come quickly enough...

I haven't even played the first two yet. I need a 360 and I need it now.
Hey if your PC is up to it, you could play them there!
If my PC was a robot it would still be the weakest thing in the house so it isn't an option. Curse my brother for trading his 360 for a laptop.

The Combine did a way better job of being lethal.
I also think the Cylons and the Covenant did alot better than that too but then again they didn't need to make an entire civilization disappear, they just have to kill people.

Must prioritize. ME3 first (because it has an end). TES V second (because it will devour my entire life). God damn, I have never been this happy. Ever. ...ok maybe I have, but this is seriously an RPG fan's wet dream right here.
I might go TES V first because by the time I'm done with that the ME 3 price will have dropped. Then again, I think I like Mass Effect more. Decisions decisions.

So how did the Reapers get here so fast? No matter, my krogan-rachni-quarian-geth-Alliance-Council Fleet alliance will make short work of them.
I can only hope that the end result of being good throughout the games is a single epic throwdown between all your allies and the reaper fleet.

Yes the fact that it's again invasion on Earth by some big galactic evil sucks but at least it's fallowing the story. The reapers were pretty pissed off at sheppard and it's only fitting that they want to make a huge moral blow or the likes. And as others have said it would be nice if the planet was destroyed or that the human casualties were a tad bit low but then again being that sheppard almost by himself managed to ruin their plans twice, getting human slaves would perhaps be of use to them.

Only a year between ME2 and ME3? Ehh....

Anyway, regardless of my skepticism, this looks like it'll be great. I really hope that there's more than just a Paragon or Renegade ending this time around.

I don't think they are trying to exterminate humans.
Remember they were trying to make a reaper out of humans in ME2.
