I really like ALL the guns in the game.

But my faves are:
Mantis
Vindicator
Graal Spike Thrower

I hink I'm the only one with love for the Mantis. <3
For my vanguard the only guns for me were the Mantis and the Graal Spike Thrower. Nothing better.

For SMGs I believe I used the Locust maybe? Definitely like how you can mod them so that the weight is almost non-existent.

For Pistols, I think it was the Phalanx. Can't be sure though. Wanted to try the Arc Pistol, but never did.

My favorite shotgun though has got to be the Geth Shotgun. I was like "Its OK", especially regarding the reload time. But when I learned you could charge it up and have it go a lot farther? I had a big damn smile on my face almost the whole time. Since I was a Vanguard, I didn't focus too much on long range, as I felt my Pistol and SMG did fine. But I felt like such a badass with this, taking out things from afar with a lot of damage. Found it didn't weigh too much either. Can't wait to unlock it in Multiplayer if I ever get the chance.

M-6 Carnifex. Paladin is great, but Carnifex can have almost the same damage, but twice the ammo. It's also lightweight so I can spam powers like mofo. Fantastic for any class.

The M-11 Wraith. Set me back a bomb (250,000) credits and apparently some other shotguns are more efficient, but I really don't care. I like the badass look of it instead of the super-sleek sci-fi guns, I like the noise it makes and the range on it is decent for a shotgun.

I stuck with Vindicator with an extended barrel and the scope, I liked the 3 round burst because it gave you hitting power on a dangerous target like a Harvester or Banshee, but with lower level enemies you can walk the burst for multiple headshots with Adrenalin burst. Toss incendiary rounds on it and all you have is either a big bonfire with groups of weak enemies, or a disappearing armor bar with major enemies. Plus it's lighter weight than the pre-order weapons that have burst fire, so my recharge rate on powers stays decent.

Went with the Paladin as a sidearm because with a high caliber barrel and magazine extention it's an ungodly dangerous piece of work.

That one mini-grenade launcher AR. Didn't use it myself, had to little spare ammo, but I gave it to my companions.
Also, the grenade pistol, which I also gave to my companions.

Collector Particle Rifle.

Only weapon I used, and a SMG backup gun with light plating mod so I could throw singularity and warp everywhere. ;)

but there was so much ammo lying about it was 90% Widow and 10% Mattock/Pulse Rifle.
I noticed that there was a LOT more ammo laying around in this game than there was in ME 2. In ME 2 I was almost afraid to use the Widow on anything but a heavy unit (scions, praetorians, the main boss, etc) for fear that I'd burn through my 14 shots and be screwed when I DID come up to a heavy unit. For one, the game took care of that problem by littering every battle area with plenty of ammo...but the Black Widow would have solved it anyways seeing as how fully upgraded it gets 28 shots.

And yeah, have I mentioned how much I love having a 3 round clip? Makes the B.Widow so much more efficient than the standard Widow.

It's really just the perfect balance of lightweight and power. Some people mention they are willing to cope with the heavier burden of more powerful guns, but I certainly am not. I don't want my power recharge time below +150.

The M-8 Avenger

Sure, it's not fancy. But damn if it ain't reliable while being light enough so that it doesn't effect your power CD.

Also, melee Infiltrator with a pistol modded with the melee stunner is retarded.

Prothean Rifle >.> I liked it, it was effective, and it was a refreshing change. Plus it never runs out of ammo, so I just whored it all the time...
Yes, this was by far my fav weapon. I liked that it wasn't over powered in that the beam itself required prolonged firing in order to incinerate someone... yet it would still incinerate everything.
Plus it just looks damn cool when all three of you focus fire on whatever big bad is coming your way :D Feels a bit Ghostbustery :D

M-98 Widow

upgraded to 10, both of these are amazingly deadly!
But if you're still using the standard Widow you need to get with the times. Yes, the Widow has enough stopping power that it could be mounted on the Normandy as a primary weapon system, but it's just sooooo slow and inefficient...at least when you compare it to the updated version: the Black Widow.

Fact: The standard Widow has the most damage of any sniper rifle. But the damage bar only goes up so far and as such there's not much room for improvement in the damage area.

The Black Widow, on the other hand, starts out as powerful as the Mantis which is itself a ridiculously great sniper rifle thanks to it's stopping power. Fully upgraded, I think the Black Widow is about 3/4ths as strong as the Widow. Where it makes up for this loss of power is in its efficiency. 3 shots before a reload as compared to 1.

Now, the Black Widow is easily capable of one-shotting any standard enemy (cerberus troopers, any type of husk, any type of geth, etc.) So that means the only real way to compare stopping power is with the heavy units (brutes, atlas, banshee, geth prime, etc). Those 3 shots EASILY pack much more punch than a single shot from the Widow, allowing you to take down bigger enemies quicker. Then there's the fact that it has a higher spare ammo compacity than the standard Widow so you never have to worry about running out of ammo.

All in all, when something absolutely undeniably needs to be dead, look no further than the Black Widow.
I'll have to try it (though I am in love with my level 10 widow)

This. Except I favored the Raptor for my sniper rifle. Not the best damage in the world, but when I needed to take a brute down, and my Mattock was running low, Raptor plus Warp ammo equals UBER OWNAGE.

By the way, how do you upgrade a weapon to level 10? Do you need to be a certain level first?

The geth Javelin, bolt action and the ability to scope people through cover and blow them away? Hell yes.

Dont know the name, but the pistol you get right at the start. Its one of the first weapons you have.

And its the best weapon in the game. Not even kidding. You know why? It has no firecap. It will shoot as fast as you spam the trigger/the left mouse button. For a seasoned, mature, pro, handsome and charismatic FPS player like me, that means I basically spent the whole game unloading the 15 round clip in something like 2 seconds to massive reaper dismay.

Good going Bioware.
Have you tried the Mattock? It pretty much does the same thing, reloads quickly, and is nigh unstoppable with piercing mods and either Incendiary or Warp ammo.

the Phaeston AR is my primary. With the stabilizer mod and high caliber mod, then add in your ammo buffs/debuffs. it can make quick work of my enemies while still allowing me to keep most of my shots on target. I also hate having my AR's have burst or single round setting

the Black widow is my secondary. I adored the widow in ME2, but I'm in love with B.Widow. With the extended barrel mod and either the concentration mod or Extended scope, it can literal knock any Cerberus troop off his feet. if you add in armor-piercing ammo, I can almost take down the mechs by itself. plus it's fun playing "pop goes the weasel" with this gun >)

I also bring a shotgun with me just in case the enemies get a little too close for comfort or there's alot of them. however, I'm playing around with all of the shotguns to see which I like the most

I sometimes bring a pistol with me as well but it's the same as the shotguns, still playing around to find one I a like.

N7 Valkyrie and Black Widow for most of the time and the M6 Carnifex with a scope here and there.
I LOVE the sound of the first two. They make you feel so powerful.

The gun sounds in ME3 were the one thing that (quite literally) blew me away. Can´t think of a game with better sounding weapons.
