In all seriousness, the ME trilogy is probably my favourite gaming experience of all time and I cannot wait for the fourth installment, even though though I'm still (slightly) bummed out that the "original" Mass Effect with Shepard and co is finished and almost certainly won't be revisited again.

Seeing as how most of the responses to this tweet have centered on "Great, now show us some actual gameplay" more than "ME3's ending sucked", I think it's safe to say most people have come to terms with their feelings on the series as a whole.

Yes, Mass Effect is worthy of accolades when you take the whole series into account, and yes, there are gems worth digging through ME3 to see, but from a literary standpoint (which is how I evaluated the conclusion to ME3) the ending is one of the most laughably bad things I have ever seen from any storytelling medium, presented in such a poor fashion that any defense of it requires more selective reasoning than the Indoctrination Theory did. And boy, was that theory a rabbit hole I'm glad I didn't fall into.

I'd say more, but debates about things like ME3 are best kept off the forums and in private messages. So we'll just agree to disagree, OK?

How many more years is it going to take before people move the fuck on from Mass Effect 3's ending? Do you really think you're offering some unique perspective or clever insight that hasn't been rehashed a million times?

Well, imo the worst part isn't the ending. It's badly writen, rushed, trying to be smart philosophically but incredibly illogical. The worst is how Bioware managed the whole situation which worsened relations with buyers. Not only with ME3, it began with DA2, remember the "awesome button" or "players can't understand our game" ? Well with ME3 it was worse...

So, imo of course, buyers aren't really angry about the ending but they're embittered about how the whole situation was handled and since Bioware didn't made any statement during several months (beside trying to decrease the backlash size, banning people and so on of course) it worsen the whole thing. If people weren't interested, they wouldn't even post here or on tweeter.
They're interested but they remember the whole situation before and after the Me3's launch.

EA must be incrdibly clever and cautious with this game, after all DA2, Swtor and ME3 were more damaging than anything else in the Bioware's history. It's why i'm curious about the means they'll use to sell the game...

Yeah, guys! You all should have realized that Bioware jumped the shark/screwed the pooch during Mass Effect 2! I wasn't surprised by the shit ME3 pulled, and you all shouldn't have been, either.

I can't bloody wait for more Mass Effect related goodies but I must always express a cynical sigh whenever news is announced, because I know it will be just be five pages of snarky circle-jerking. I understand that the original ending was poorly received - to put it in the understatement of the century - and that might people might be feeling a little distrustful of Bioware, but really guys? After all this time Bioware is still completely irredeemable, Mass Effect is ruined forever and EA must burn for its sins?
