'Once we get to our destination, I trust we won't catch you with your trousers down, fumbling with your hands if Orion can't give you all of the passwords. Honestly, what kind of hacker are you?'.

"Please." He scoffed. "The only system I've never been able to hack were straight up Reapers. Sure the other may have taken some time but I got in eventually. I just prefer to know what I'm facing beforehand, only an idiot goes into a fight...any fight...blind." Before he could go further, the Vorcha spoke up, obviously annoyed with things. "Well it's a good thing you don't try and take a bite outta me...I'd probably give even you wicked indigestion."

When the female Krogan spoke up, Malik wacked a hand against his head. "How could I've missed that." Setting to work with his omni-tool, he 'dove' into the extra-net, lines of code streaming past on his display. After a few minutes, he cut his connection and smiled. "While you are right." He said, nodding to the Krogan. "We're not going to have a convenient map of the place, it is an Alliance pre-fab construction. That means it was built to a known plan. Judging from the image, it's a 'Type-D' facility." With a few keystrokes, everyone else's omni-tools alerted to a new message. "I lifted this from an Alliance network, it's the basic 'Type-D' floor plan. Now who knows what's been done to it since it was built, but now we at least have half a clue...still going to want to pick the brain of somebody who's been inside though..."

The vorcha smiled a rather evil looking grin as the drell spoke to him. "Depends on how you cook it. Fortunately I enjoy my food raw." He slithered his lithe tongue between his sharp teeth. Clearly he wasn't trying to be intimidating he actually did enjoy eating things raw.

After teasing the drell he looked over at the asari and he hissed lightly at her. "Why are you so eager to volunteer?" He asked slightly suspicious of her. The whole lot was suspicious.

He then looked at the other female human called "Day" and squinted at her not sure about her in the slightest. However he would have to work with them in order to get paid.

"Right, so bullshitting aside, anyone have any idea on how we're going to get to the place and where we're going to set up before the raid?" the krogan asked. "by the way, the name is Athena. Yes i'm far older than humans have been in the galaxy, but my name is a story for another time." she explained to them, crossing her arms. The krogan's biotic glow seemed to surface a little bit, but quickly subsided.

'I know the mafia', Day spoke in a whisper, forcing everyone around her to shut up and concentrate on her voice.

'I worked for them more than once. I know where they go to relax, a discreet Russian club', she eyed the technician playfully, her tongue slipped in between her pink lips and licking at them, going slowly round and round. 'We can find your information there. Any objections?', she looked at the rest of the crew, searching for some reluctance, but all she saw was a mixture of disgust and lust.

'We leave for Padroshka...', Day sprang up to her feet, her wicked smile flashing at her companions, perking her lips into a smile and sending off a kiss to the technician, '...and get dressed. Lets have some fun'.

'I know the mafia. I worked for them more than once. I know where they go to relax, a discreet Russian club. We can find your information there. Any objections?'

The Human female spoke up...sort of, and mentioned her previous associations with the local underworld. That was very fortunate, as he'd never worked on Earth before, nor did he know anybody who had. "No objections from me, that sounds like our best shot." He replied, raising a brow-ridge at Day's odd behaviour. What IS she doing...I've never been good at understanding Humans.

'We leave for Padroshka...and get dressed. Let's have some fun'

"But why would I need to change?" Malik muttered half to himself, so long as there was an open comm-channel he barely needed to be on the same planet. As he was puzzling over this, Day's actions finally clicked for him. By the Gods...was she FLIRTING with me? What is it that Human females find so attractive about Drell males? This has got to be the third time TODAY! Shaking that line of thought aside, he began once more to 'dive' into the extranet. "Assuming no-one has any major problems, I'll see what I can do about getting us a ride to Padroshka...and somewhere to stay once we're there." He added, nodding to Athena.

"So does this mean we are all going to the club? or just a few to not cause suspicion?" He didn't care either way what happens with this plan. If he wasn't needed at this point and time he would just go back to working on his suit. If he was needed he would enjoy the hell out of the sleazy bar for a bit.

Plus if things got out of hand it would be wise to bring some of their heavy hitters along to keep the crew alive. It would be such a waste to get someone killed this earlier, well besides the Vorcha maybe. Barnet still didn't know what to make of the 'smart' Vorcha at the moment. He just knew if it try to take a bite out of him he was gonna roast it alive.

"But why would I need to change?"

Day flashed her grin, approaching Malik on soundless footsteps, her heels giving a muffled click every time they struck the floor. She looked up at his face, a mixture of confusion and embarrassment clearly showing through his features.

'You do that', she whispered yet again, 'and get a suit'.

"So does this mean we are all going to the club? or just a few to not cause suspicion?"

'I'll need muscle for the next stage of my plan, but we can't go in armed. Miss-', Day looked for the Krogan, her eyes setting on the proud specimen, '-I didn't catch your name. We should get ready for a girl's night out-', Day smiled at Niria, '-you too, Niria'.

Niria sat quiet and listened to the conversation, something about hitting Padroshka? Well... she was never one to deny a bit of fun, especially when it helped get her mind of things for a while...

When the human woman mentioned her name, she looked up in surprise. Where'd she learn her name from? Was there some file she never knew about? Ah well, she should probably make the best of it for the time being...

"Alright, guess I'm in. Anyway, I haven't been in the club for some time, guess it couldn't hurt."

The vorcha looked at the human female and shook his head. "Ill just creep my way through the vents then in case you need help." He said as he was a skinny and lithe individual. He was sneaky as well as cunning. "I never understood you beings and you devotion to "party." " he said as he looked at the drell. "Best watch ourself there drell. She is crafty and it would be a shame if we lost a teammate so soon due to some unfortunate accident." He said not really trusting the human called "Day".

'You do that, and get a suit'.

Malik let out an exasperated sigh. "I have no need to be on hand to retrieve the pertinent data in this instance. Should my skill be required, simply allowing me to access the system in question though an available omni-tool will be more than sufficient; and if it's a 'companion' you require for your work, might I suggest either Barnet or our Asari co-worker...I have more pressing issues to attend to, so that we may successfully carry out this endeavour."

"Best watch yourself there Drell. She is crafty and it would be a shame if we lost a teammate so soon due to some unfortunate accident."

"I thank you for your concern my friend." He said, with a nod to the Vorcha. "And I agree with you...if I wish to have fun, I can think of plenty of thing to do, that don't involved poisoning one's self, or inducing auditory damage."

The vorcha listened to him and chuckled as his clawed hand rested on his shoulder. "Please drell. Don't thinkni am showing concern just about you. After all I will need to eat, and poison isn't a good addition to spice up the flavor of any meal." He said as he opened the doors and threw his trench coat on ovwr his shoulders. "Would one of the ladies care to show me where ship is?"

He had asked but had gotten no reply. Quite common for his race. He just chuckled and went on his way towards the docking stations. He stole a hat from a human that attempted to get in his face. The vorcha growled and bared his teeth and the human backed off.

'We catch a lift, courtesy of our dear Malik', she winked at the Drell, showing a most delightfully suggestive pose.

Padroshka, a couple of hours later

Day was wearing the same evening clothes she had on before, the slick red dress showing off her skin, high heels clicking at every step. She clutched a purse to her right, containing a variety of poisons with which to clear away trouble. Her tiny pistol was hidden deep inside someplace no man would see.

The music at the club was roaring through their ears, some techno-hiphop favored by the Russians, with a couple of Slavic words added in between beats for good measure. Bodies were pressed tight against each other, grinding and sweating at the rhythm of the music. The DJ was standing on a platform further to the right, swinging the music and synthesizing the experience. Right outside the entrance to the club the dance floor loomed at Niria and Day, though they decided first to survey their surroundings.

'There-', Day pointed at a group of men drinking at the bar, harassing some poor human girl into joining them. 'That man over there, with the bald spot wearing sunglasses - he used to give me my contracts. We need to seprate him from the others'.

'There-That man over there, with the bald spot wearing sunglasses - he used to give me my contracts. We need to separate him from the others'.

Malik was listening in from his preferred position, a hotel room a few blocks from the club. After getting the team a ride to Russia, and setting them all up in a large pre-fab unit on the edge of town, he'd rented this room; though highly unlikely, if he got traced, he'd rather not blow the whole operation be leading hostiles back to their safehouse.

"Just remember," He said into the comm. "While you two are 'pumping' him for info, activate that program I sent you; it'll let me pillage his omni-tool for any data you might not be able to extract." Using his link to Day's omni-tool, he'd also managed to tap into what passed for a security network in the club. By the Gods...this system was out of date when they met the Turians... Using his access thought the club, he was able to 'backdoor' his way into the mob's private usenet, and do some searches on his end for info on the target...but was finding little of immediate value so far.

Niria wound her way through the crowds, taking in the sounds around her. When was the last time she'd been to one of these...? Oh right, shortly before the Reapers attacked Thessia and she began throwing herself into battle. After that, she had spent her time fighting for her life, and after the war ended, dealing with the aftermath.

She really hadn't had a chance to cut loose since then. Perhaps she could get a bit of fun in before going back to the job?

Beside her, Day pointed out a man at the bar.

'There-That man over there, with the bald spot wearing sunglasses - he used to give me my contracts. We need to separate him from the others'.

Niria smirked despite herself. "No problem. I think I can get his attention..."

While everyone was doing their job, Barnet was sitting down at a table enjoying a drink. He wouldn't be needed yet, and hopefully not at all tonight. He was mostly here incase things turn into shit real quick. Picking up his drink as he sips on it to get the taste. 'Ah there nothing like cheap human alcohol...' Barnet thought. Putting the drink back down as he pulls up his Omni tool.

'Hmm lets see. What can I play to pass the time.' He said as he started going through his collection. Keeping a ear and a eye out incase someone gives the signal to cut loose and get his new buddies out of here as soon as possible.

The vorcha at this time was sneaking his way through the ventilation shaft quite easily. He was hovering over a vent that was just above the back entrance of this club. He slowly unwound the screws and softly landed on his hooves, he was in. He slipped on his trench coat and a hat that fit his head and hid hid face. All of these things were brought with him through the shaft. He shifted his clothes to make him look as human as possible.

He then walked out of the corner and past the cooks who were too busy filling orders to notice him and sat at the nearest seat he could find from the kitchen entrance. He had heard over the private comms the description of the male and smiled menacingly at the target beneath the safety of the shadow the hat provided.

He saw the one human male and gave a small, silent notification that hr was present. A small wave from the grotesque looking hand could be noticed especially in a fine establishment such as this. However the flashing and whirling lights have been known to play tricks on the mind.

With the lights of the club flashing and the music pumping, Athena sighed. She didn't like this place and decided to talk to one of the krogan bouncers they had at the place. She set herself up next to one and began speaking with him, the conversation not so important as she was getting friendly with him.
[hr]

Meanwhile, the man seemed to be drinking at the bar while sighing as most of his buds harassed the girl. He threw the odd comment here or there, but seemed to be a bit lack luster in his intimidation skills. He ordered another shot of vodka before throwing it back, down his throat and then setting it on the bar before taking his game up a notch as he began just flat out cursing and being rude, not even somewhat subtle harassing the poor girl anymore.

All it took was a good word, a suggestive pose and a seductive kiss on the cheek, a promise of more to come - and he walked to the tune of the piper, off his mates and on to the woman of his dreams. Day had him follow her to the lady's restroom, a wicked smile on her face. The Asari was quick to follow, and over the comms Day contacted their eye in the sky, 'Be on the lookout', she whispered. Day had the mafioso pinned against a wall - she reached for her purse, retrieved a tiny vial and plopped the contents down his throat and past his eager lips. He was paralyzed, for now, and ready for deep interrogation.

'All yours', Day spoke softly, the body of the mafioso flopping to the wet floor. 'Ask the computer-boy what to look for', she said, remembered to have the hacker hear her as well.

'Ask the computer-boy what to look for'

"I'm right here." Malik replied into Day's ear piece; from his hotel room, he kept an eye on the clubs security feed while at the same time accessing the targets omni-tool via Niria's. Switching his attention to the Asari, he went to work on his end. "See if you can 'grab' anything like the faces and names of key personnel, access codes, and security procedures?the kind of information that you wouldn't risk putting into a computer system."

His own fingers flew as he fought for control. There was no time for a cautious approach, this was a 'smash-and-grab' job; he?d just copy the omni-tool's entire memory and then sift it later for what they needed.

The vorcha chuckled over the comms he couldn't help it. "You know there are other ways to get their faces....all you need is a steady hand and a sharp knife." He said as he sat there and noticed the shaken up and got up and took her away and gave her a few creds. "Here go get a different job." He said making her go on her way and got behind the bar and hid his knife under the table and started filling drink orders. Of course he was getting questionable looks but however he was making great drinks so they let things slide.
